While on patrol with Rover, Jack finds a woman in the forest. She’s bitten and just wants her baby to have a chance at life. So she begs Jack to take her baby and raise her as his own.
Or basically Jack raising an orphan the way he wishes he was raised and overcoming the struggles of basically being a dad, being a kid himself, and surviving the apocalypse.
