Summary
Hurting each other wasn’t anything novel to them, but he knew Optimus needed an incentive, an assurance that this was what he wanted, and even then Megatron had to rake at his patience, jab at his nerves until Optimus scorched out of him whatever guilt remained and shoved Megatron into the ground, pounding him with the feral crudeness of years of bottled-up frustrations. It was so good when he let himself go like that; oftentimes he didn’t require anything else to overload. Just seeing Optimus fall into instinct, repurposing all that strength into commanding every inch of Megatron’s frame could send his systems crashing into white-hot bliss. He needed more.

Summary
In every universe, it is a very baffling life to be a rank and file trooper on the Executor. There are Sith temper tantrums, officers who are made near cryptidic by scuttlebutt (did you hear Piett tore out a wookie’s throat with his teeth?), and odd little inconsistencies and behaviors of the ship itself.
Piett can be seen addressing himself to flickering ceiling lights, Darth Vader is enigmatic and ominous, and Veers has been compared many times to an Arkanian cockroach. All of this is op spec aboard the Executor.
But even by these standards, this universe is… a bit odd.
Or:
Lieutenant Hakal almost slams into General Veers in a darkened hallway at three in the morning. The General's face is lit from below by the datapad in his hands. In the low lighting, his eyes seem to glitter oddly.
Veers stops and stares at him for a long moment, unblinking.
“Sir?” Hakal asks tentatively.
“I think my skin is vibrating,” the General says calmly.
“...What the kark sir.”
“I’ve had twelve cups of caf in the last hour.” He’s still staring.

As field bleed, phantom sensation, and political pressure tighten around them both, Megatron finds himself unraveling in ways he cannot name. Luckily (or disastrously) Optimus Prime is right there with him, ready to keep him from (or rush him toward) falling apart.

Soundwave stared and hoped that his visor concealed his optics well enough. His servos clenched at his sides, and he shook. Because there, in front of him, mere feet away, kneeled Megatron. At Optimus’ pedes. Between his legs. With his intake enveloping that large spike as if it was the best thing that he’d ever tasted.
