From his right, he saw Alhaitham reach up and mess with his hearing aids, most likely turning them off before class starts. This is a typical part of his routine, Lisa’s excitement usually exhausts him much more than Cyno’s jokes do so to ‘save his sanity’ (as Alhaitham calls it) he turns off his hearing aids and reads in silence for a few minutes before the professor comes in.
“Apparently the TA for this class violated the Akademiya’s handbook last Friday so he was fired!”
Cyno raised an eyebrow. He didn’t necessarily dislike the last TA but he wasn’t super impressed by him either. Many of the TA’s that audit the classes he’s in act like they know more than the professors themself. The arrogance and big egos rub him the wrong way and he elected to ignore the TA’s as much as he could.
Lisa continued, “We’re supposed to get a new one today and I heard he’s adorable.”

The kid shoots up and he looks scared out of his mind for a second before scowling. “I’m not a fuckin’ kid,” he snaps. Wilbur laughs softly, the kids eyes are blue, they remind him of Phil.
“Right, how can I help you?”
The kids’ bristling demeanor dies down instantly and he looks suddenly much more nervous. The kids posture is shit, Wilbur notices, his shoulders are up and slouched over his chest almost protectively. He starts fidgeting with sleeves of his shirt and he quickly but quietly pulls out a five dollar bill, he slides it across the bar to Wilbur.
“Could I have a- could I get a-“ He pauses, shakes his head and looks up.

Summary

Thus, despite his body’s protests, he carries on with his normal routine, soreness spreading like a plague all across his limbs as the day goes by.
It is when he’s asked to clear, not one, but three Withering Zones that he pushes himself beyond his limits and is forced to face the consequences.
“You and your endless stubbornness again,” Cyno utters under his breath, although loud enough for Tighnari to hear. Despite the disapproval his voice holds, Tighnari somehow knows a tiny smile had managed to make its way into his lips as he spoke. “Come on, let’s get you home.”

Tommy tries to get better by going to Ranboo for help, the only person who is soft enough to cave in, and Tommy secretly goes to Quackity to grab more cigarettes.
What happens when the rest of the SBI figures out Tommy is smoking? Will their possessiveness get in the way? Will Ranboo let his instincts to protect and possess over Tommy take over?
