When Merlin collapses in a long forgotten hallway, Arthur has to fight for his life.With Camelot still sitting on the edge of destruction following the dragon’s attack, Arthur should be preoccupied with reconstruction and resource management. Instead, Merlin has taken ill, and for some reason, Arthur can’t keep his mind off him.
What is Arthur to do with his kingdom in tatters, his whole world view shifting and his closest relationships rocking closely held beliefs? How is he to handle this while being drawn ever closer to Merlin? Merlin, whose condition is worsening by the day.

Merlin is at rock bottom again, but this time it isn’t his fault. He thinks he should be winning awards at this point, for how low he could possibly get before getting any lower. So when the most affluent businessman in London proposes a six month plan to fix both of their problems, how could he say no? Arthur is cocky and irritating and Merlin’s temper isn’t making the plan go any easier, but even Merlin thinks Arthur’s crazy idea just might work. He’ll make it work if it kills him.
…or he falls in love.
Whichever comes first.

“You’re hurting me,” whined Aurelian. “Merlin, please let go! I swear I’m not gonna run. I can’t even go anywhere because I’m—”
Merlin paid no attention to his words and threw him roughly inside the Physician’s chambers. Gaius watched with mild interest from his work bench and frowned when he saw the boy. “Who the fuck are you?” asked Merlin, picking up a broom from the floor and twirling it in his hands expertly.
Aurelian sighed. It was like nobody actually paid attention to his words. “Prince Aurelian of Camelot,” he repeated duly. Gaius’ interest was further piqued as he put down his books and turned to the commotion.
“Impossible. Are you a sorcerer out to kill Arthur?” asked Merlin harshly. No point beating around the bush. To his shock, the boy snorted. “What is it?”
“That’s right, Merlin,” he said in a tone awfully similar to Arthur’s. “I absolutely travelled back in time just to do my own father in.” He laughed as Merlin’s jaw dropped open.
Or Arthur's (alleged) son travels back from the future and of course Merlin has to somehow send him back without causing massive panic. This is far easier said than done in his humble opinion.

"I didn't receive any notice of the sort, but it didn't matter anyway." Merlin knew Arthur did not have to send the reminders to those who paid on time regularly.
"I'll have to remember for next month. Thank you for paying on time."
Despite actively being in a conversation in the present, Merlin's mind was still stuck in the past. "It's not a problem at all, my lord."
Arthur gave Merlin a questioning look. He rose an eyebrow in a way that reminded Merlin of Gaius. "Did you just address me as 'my lord'?"
OR
While waiting for Arthur's return, Merlin spent the last 1500 years wandering the world. One day, he decides to temporarily settle down in London again. What he was not expecting was to see a familiar looking prat be his landlord; and even worse, a prat with no memory of Camelot.
