  3. Summary

A series of stories based on the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. The name of the series is derived from a custom spell Diana weaves for Jack in the third novel, The Book of Life. Jack is introduced in the second novel, Shadow of Night, and continues to play a role for the rest of the trilogy, but much of his story is left untold. This series is designed to fill in some of those blanks. Background information and story summaries are available on the Six-Crossed Knot page of my blog.

    Summary

After being driven out of B-395 by Irene and Kai, Alberich is pissed. So pissed he doesn’t waste a lot of time to fulfill his last promise to Irene – that she’d regret it.

    -

Book two mentions how Alberich was the one who told Lord and Lady Gauntes where to find a dragon to kidnap: This scene imagines their interaction, and tries to explain the way some of Alberich’s chaos-infused Language powers work. Technically there are no big spoilers for anything beyond The Masked City, but my thoughts on Alberich draw a lot from later books, so beware. c:
