“Are you okay?” Leon reached out to help the stranger, one hand gripping their palm to hoist them up from the floor, the other steadying them with a gentle squeeze to the upper arm.
“Hm, I appreciate the sentiment, but is now really the time for pleasantries?” the stranger asked, not unkindly. His voice was a little rough around the edges, with an accent Leon failed to identify. Something rich and European, like the love interest in every shitty soap opera. His skin was warm where their palms met, and Leon let go of him hastily.
He shook his head. Why had he noticed something like that?
Or: A story loosely based on Resident Evil 2 Remake, if Leon happened to encounter a certain Spanish scientist instead of Claire Redfield.

The one really, really shitty part of this is everything that’s permanent.
That, Luis hadn’t detailed, nor had Leon entirely expected.
With the political turmoil of his failed rescue mission, the explosion of worldwide T-Virus outbreaks, Leon finds navigating through Europe to find a cure to he and Ashley's condition difficult. There's so much he wants, so much he thinks 'should be' in the face of 'what is', and facing that will come at the cost of knowing himself and what's become of those he's cared about.

All stories within this series will be written in the context of the Comic (Leading up/Following Heart of Fire) and includes the Gloryhammer canon up to and including the end of the Terrorvortex conclusion. (Focus on the songs themselves, not surrounding media or word of god)
I highly recommend reading them in the order they’re on this list, Starting with Part 1. Most can be read stand-alone to a degree, but they will build on top of another more and more.
