He tells himself it will only be for a moment. Just one moment of relief. One moment to look upon her face and feel like he isn't drowning.
Just one moment. That's all it will be.
Set about a year after Trespasser, but some chapters take place during the events of DAI. Mostly canon-compliant, with a few minor-ish changes and liberties taken. Slow-ish (medium-ish?) burn, with eventual explicit smut. Canon-typical violence. Still very much a work in progress and new chapters will be posted as I finish them, and won't necessarily follow any kind of schedule.

Summary
Sophia Darrow was a Nurse Practitioner student when an incident landed her in a coma for over a year. Now that she's awake, she's haunted by dreams of events she can't recall. She soon discovers that magic and the Fade are real as she gets pulled into Thedas right in the middle of a war for their future. Desperate to get back home, she decides to tie her fate to the Herald's, leading the Inquisition to believe that she experiences visions of the Herald's future, so that she can be present for Adamant and re-enter the Fade - her only hope of ever making it back home.
Yes, this is another MGIT Fic, but I hope it presents an interesting twist to the canon-divergent idea of a character knowing the future and attempting to make small changes. But what happens when those small changes become big ones? This will start out pretty canon-compliant, but will eventually present completely new content as Sophia discovers just how intertwined her fate becomes with the rest.

Summary

Her name was once Saeris Lavellan. She was Twiceblooded, Stormbringer, the unending dream.
It was just a pity all those names sounded like someone remaining alone. Titles were not things those with happy futures carried, not ones that would live long and content. Titles such as she held were ones for hardship and great futures that would ask much.
An elfblooded human with unheard of traits of elven heritage; Raised by Dalish and Chasind alike, dragged to the Fereldan circle of Magi by templar's in her youth, nothing about Saeris was simple. A born dreamer who did not have guidance and was finding her own methods, with the wit to seem to bow her head to Templars.
When Surana became a Gray Warden he returned and took her with him. When Kirkwall fell and the Inquisition began, somehow Saeris found herself in the midst yet outskirts of it all. But nothing would have prepared her for seeing the man from her dreams, literally, there to guide the herald or the feelings that started to intrude upon the waking world.
