In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best idea to be taking apart one of his limbs in the middle of the workday and displaying his cyborg identity for all to see and potentially scaring off new customers, but the rust was stopping his leg from bending right and hurting all week and straight up pissing him off. And he didn’t really care, he’d heard all of the shit people had to say about cyborgs from Dream anyway.
Tommy glared at the appendage. “Now, why can’t you be like your twin?” he muttered, patting his non-metal leg. “Oh, that's right, because you’re a bitch.”
The leg did not reply.

Tubbo exiles Tommy, and, as promised, Dream leaves L’Manberg alone. Tubbo remains the president of L'Manberg. After two years in the wilderness, Tommy returns, and nothing is the same.

As he looked at the filthy ceiling, he sighed and prepared to repeat his mantra of everything that should keep him going, then stopped himself. There was no point. His family would never find him, and he couldn’t escape this living hell on his own. A hopeless feeling creeped into his chest. The harsh ringing in his ears faded to silence.
That’s when he noticed the first voice had started talking.

The window stays firmly shut. Tubbo narrows his eyes at it.
“One last fucking chance, Romeo,” Tubbo says, and hoists the rock baseball-style behind his head.
The window snaps up so fast the glass wheezes in protest. Ranboo pokes his head out, eyes wild.
“Knock!” he screeches. “At the front door! Like a normal - like a normal freaking person!”
Tubbo laughs.

“Golden hour,” Tommy says, pointing west at the rays streaming between houses. “Pretty and shit.”
“We should take a picture,” Ranboo says.
Tommy snorts. Tubbo snaps to attention, though, fishing in his pocket for his phone. “Hang on. Go stand over there.”
Ranboo rolls his eyes and complies, but Tommy crosses his arms. “This is stupid.”
“You’re stupid,” comes the fond reply.
“I wasn’t being serious,” Ranboo says.
Tubbo only grows more resolute. “I am. We’re taking a picture.”
