Richie Tozier was an annoying asshole. He would never shut up. Even when every single one of his friends would beep-beep him, he couldn’t go longer than a minute without running his loud mouth again. He’s rowdy, full of poorly-timed inappropriate innuendos, and pretty much incapable of behaving correctly around adults — or anyone, for that matter.
That’s just how he is.
So, of course Beverly Marsh is concerned when Trashmouth Tozier doesn't say a word when he gets to school, avoiding eye contact with the rest of the Losers Club and walking with a slight limp. She has this sinking feeling in her gut that something is very wrong, and an even worse feeling that she knows exactly what it is, because she's been through it herself.

Summary
Henry Bowers spends most of his life hiding pain behind anger. Raised by an abusive father, he has learned that showing weakness is dangerous, so he tries to keep control, to hide his feelings as much as he can. In the summer of 1989, in Derry, he spends most of his days with his friends, trying to forget everything waiting for him at home.
Patrick, however, is the one person who constantly unsettles him. He teases Henry more than anyone else, pushes his limits, and gets closer than Henry is comfortable with. At first Henry brushes it off as annoyance, but Patrick’s attention and small, lingering touches start leaving him confused in ways he can’t explain.
The more Patrick teases him and lingers close, the more Henry begins to question who he is, and what he’s starting to feel.
