Summary
Alphas and Omegas depend on each other for relief from their designation. The longer that they deny their bodies' needs the worse the symptoms become. An Omega's heats will only get worse and more frequent, while an Alpha loses his control completely and is launched into a rut which affects not only his body but his mind.
The Ministry launches a program to help deal with the Alpha/Omega problem in the Wizarding World. They offer the chance for relief without admitting to your designation. A matching system where an Omega can use an Alpha to see her through her heat and an Alpha can use an Omega to keep his sanity. The best part is it is completely anonymous, the matches are decided based on mutual attraction to each other's pheromones, and a potion prohibits the brain from recognising your partner.
Hermione Granger has never been with an Alpha, her heats are becoming unbearable. Draco Malfoy begins to lose control of his body in his fight against his own designation. Ultimately they surrender to the program, knowing they have to face the inevitable lest they lose their own or take someone else's right to consent.

The wedding was lovely. Really. It was.
Harry isn't even jealous that Ginny is marrying Draco, more frustrated that he's wound up at yet another wedding without a date.
Pansy, still somewhat of an outcast after the war, has been left behind by her own date/flatmate after Blaise spotted a boy he was interested in.
Daphne, having lost her standing in Pureblood circles thanks to a failed teenage romance, has shown up mostly for her own amusement.
When these three "leftovers" find themselves without any other prospects at the end of the night, bemoaning their singledom at an afterparty at Daphne's flat makes sense, right?
After all, they can't stay on their best behaviour forever.

"So," she drags a stool to sit across him, her chin resting on her hand. "What caused your demotion?" The question makes him abruptly sit up, looking at her with surprise. She smirks at him and takes a sip of her wine, giving him a wink. "You have to give me credit, Lance. I did code the database infrastructure for the Celestial Intelligence Force. It's not that hard for me to pull up information on anyone in the facility."
He thinks quietly for several moments, unsure of what to say without breaking any non-disclosure protocols. He knows his case file is sealed and with the extra politics involved, it's unlikely that he is ever going to be reinstated to his position any time soon. If it weren’t for Shiro’s intervention, he's sure he’d be deskbound in some backoffice, organising paperwork from the previous century. He belongs out in the field, doing what he does best; protecting the innocent.
“Failure to listen to orders,” he finally admits, looking to her with a wry smile. “I hope this doesn’t make you feel unsafe with me.”

“Like-” he fumbled for a second, glancing up like he thought the ceiling might come to his rescue. “Like, did I hurt you? Or invade a boundary? I just wanted to stop you from hitting the floor, I promise.”
Pidge blinked in shock. “What?”
He squirmed. “I dunno, just… I was trying to be a good teammate but I know you’re really not a touchy feely person? It was the only thing I could think of that might-”
“Lance,” she interrupted him, unable to keep it back for a second longer, “I don’t have any pants on.”(aka, 'this is some estrogen bullshit')
