Summary
Arthur Pendragon considered himself to be a lucky man. He had a wonderful wife, a flourishing kingdom and his citizens were largely at peace. Things were finally running smoothly for both magical and non-magical people alike. It would have been utterly perfect…
If only he could convince his stubborn manservant to become court sorcerer.

Summary
Their soulmarks should not make sense together.
A peaceful airbender with too much power, a sarcastic warrior with a sharp mind, an emotional waterbender with a savior complex, a suppressed earthbending terror with authority issues, and a confused firebender who’s 90% trauma, 10% honor.
Their soulmarks really should not make sense together.
The spirits beg to differ. And now five people – who never even should have met – are tangled together by fate, ink, and the complicated mess of becoming who they’re meant to be.
Alternatively:
Let's take a closer look at some key points in the Gaang’s journey and inspect it through a different lense. Them being soulmates doesn't really change much… until it does. -

"This merits something quite special!", the king intoned. Merlin had a bad feeling about this.
"You shall be rewarded a position in the royal household."
"But I already have a position in the royal household!"
This is the story of how Merlin did not get 'rewarded' by becoming Arthur's dogsbody and became an actual physician instead. Will destiny still find a way to unite the two to usher in the Golden Age they always promised us?
Let's find out, shall we? -

Summary
Arthur needed a court sorcerer. There was only one slight problem… All magic users had been executed in these lands for the last few decades and were still in hiding. So he decided to solve this dilemma the only way he could think of:
With a grand tournament to lure out the strongest sorcerers in his lands!
What could possibly go wrong? No, scratch that. A lot could go wrong. But how else could he find a powerful court sorcerer, if his only magical ally barely had enough magic to make his chambers clean themselves? … Right?

Summary
High in the halls of ice and wintry waters, an iceberg cracks.
They tend to do that. It’s hardly a unique occurence. Every day, babies are born, good men die, fires start, and ice breaks.
It is natural. It is meant to be.
(It’s a sign)
The Avatar wakes in a changed world a century later. An almost three year search comes to fruition.
It is all different, though. Years of rumor and story have been allowed to flourish.

Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh.
Now traveling under false names, bound by a fake marriage, and with no room for mistakes, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. What begins as mutual distrust slowly turns into eating side by side, sleeping even closer, and something far more dangerous: comfort. She thinks it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees, and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding the others. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for her friends to find her.
But in their cramped apartment, days turn into weeks, and Zuko and Katara begin to settle into something that almost feels like domestic bliss. It isn’t real. Or at least, it isn’t meant to be. But the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Summary
For a moment he focused on what seemed to be the truth. Zuko was once again seven years old. He was no longer thirty nor was he Fire Lord, so he had to do away with that mindset. Zuko was seven and had just excelled at his first ever Firebending lessons. Azula was five and still unsure of her role in the universe, his Mother was still with him, Ozai was plotting to take the throne, and Aang was twelve and frozen in a block of ice.
Zuko has been Fire Lord for over twenty years when he falls into the past. Quickly realizing he is a combatant in the battle for Azula's soul, he also comes to understand that ---as her older brother--- he has the chance to be the only player in the game.

Basically what I was trying to write myself, but slightly to the left with an older Zuko.

Summary
Sixteen-year-old Zuko doesn’t have much left: no honor, no throne, and no hope—only the burning need to capture the Avatar. So when a powerful, older version of himself crashes into his training session out of nowhere, Zuko figures his luck is finally turning.
Except... It's not.
Fire Lord Zuko, moments after a fatal lightning strike during his battle with Azula, wakes up years in the past—face-to-face with the angry, banished prince he used to be. Time travel was definitely not part of the plan.
