Aziraphale has noticed his handsome neighbor, but hasn't had an excuse (or the nerve) to talk to him. He gets his chance, though, when a bakery delivers a package to the wrong door a few days before Christmas and his neighbor comes knocking.

1950s London: Crowley discovers the hot rod scene and likes to push the Bentley to its mechanical limits, no demonic interventions allowed, in high stakes illegal street races. When he asks Aziraphale to accompany him for a big race, the stakes get rather higher, and Aziraphale discovers that she finds this side of him rather hot…

    Summary

Perhaps because the almighty had a peculiar sense of humour, angels and demons could come into heat. Some would get an irresistible urge to nest. Aziraphale was prone to this. He’d start buying soft furnishings like they were going out of fashion (and the ones he bought usually already had gone out of fashion, it was like an explosion in chintz in the upstairs bedroom from the last time he’d had the urge to line his nest.)

The angel would become addicted to going on shopping trips to Laura Ashley, John Lewis, or lately, Ikea. The bookshop would become a riot of throw cushions and fluffy blankets. Crowley had seen him do it now and again, fortunately never at a time when Crowley, too, was being influenced by his avian aspect.

    Like now.

Because when he brought his wings forward for preening, he saw that this wasn’t a normal moult. His new feathers were rather more colourful.

    Oh fuck, not now...
    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

In 6,000 years angel and demon had never had never co-incided during their cycles, but they're about to find out what happens when they do. More comedy smut.

Because they can’t see each other more than once every few decades, Aziraphale suggests that he and Crowley write to each other to pass the time apart. As quills for their letters, they exchange wing feathers: a gesture of great intimacy that Crowley is convinced only he perceives the depth of. But time will tell that it’s not just him who sees it that way.

“Well, is there anything that’s ever caught your fancy? Something that crossed your mind and you thought, ‘ah, one day I’ll give that a shot’? Surely there must be.”

Crowley bit his lip for a moment, more a brushing of an incisor over the thin line of his lower lip than an actual bite but attuned to Crowley as he was, Aziraphale noticed. He also noticed the way Crowley’s eyes skittered to the side before he took another deep drink of his red wine. “Cooking,” he muttered at last.

    Summary

Crowley has always collected souvenirs. Post Apocanot, Aziraphale starts to really explore his flat for the first time. And Crowley is finally sharing the stories behind all of the things he's collected.

"He didn’t expect the angel to take him up on his offer. He certainly didn’t expect him to take him up on it without any sort of argument. But then Aziraphale was there, sitting next to him, leaning into his chest, Crowley’s arm around him. Both of them sipping the wine. Crowley had never been happier, nor more terrified.

“Dear, I, uh, noticed something while I was getting the wine and I hope it’s not too forward of me to ask, but” Aziraphale trailed off.

    “What is it, angel?”

“That statue down the hall, is it from the church during the Blitz?”

Crowley froze. He’d forgotten that statue was in plain view, and that Aziraphale would recognize it. Crowley had a habit of collecting what he termed souvenirs. That one was one of his particular favorites."

I don't foresee this going extra angsty, but Crowley is Crowley so there's going to be some angst and pining. I don't expect this to go explicit, but I make no promises. I'll update the tags if need be.

Aziraphale works to purchase a bookshop space, but currently being a woman-shaped creature has its drawbacks when faced with rude property owners. The most obvious solution is to get Crowley to act as his husband and deal with all that nonsense, of course.

    Summary

It was at his 60th centennial review—Crowley had prepared a grandiose speech about his work in the Cold War (not him at all), gas prices, and the M-25—when Beelzebub walked into their office and slapped a file into his hands before slouching behind their desk. Which, not-so-shockingly, was made of bones.

“A seduction?” Crowley said, looking down at the file with a frown. He hadn’t been given a seduction in nearly two thousand years.

“Not just any seduction,” Beelzebub said as they flopped into their chair and folded their hands in their lap.

Crowley flipped open the file and then nearly dropped it. “You want me to seduce an angel? Why?”

“There is, apparently, an angel with a soulmate.”
Crowley’s expression was one of poorly-veiled amusement. “Uh oh. Reckon your lot weren’t too happy ‘bout that. Soulmates are supposed to be strictly for mortals, aren’t they?”
“Crowley.” Aziraphale’s voice was just on the side of testy. “The angel’s soulmate is a demon.”
Crowley’s face morphed from hilarity to understanding and finally to horror in a matter of seconds. “Oh,” he said. His eyes met Aziraphale’s from behind his designer sunglasses. “Oh."

‘He wants me to marry his sister.’
Crowley choked on his wine, looked up over the rim of the cup, and hacked out a loud laugh that echoed through the cave and into the night. In the distance wolves stopped to listen, confused at not being able to decipher the meaning behind this new howl.
‘It’s not funny!’ Aziraphale protested, though it rather was, in a way, ‘Apparently I look the age of someone who should by all accounts be married. Now they’ve gone and assumed I haven’t been able to find anyone, and they simply won’t take no for an answer!'

Or: Aziraphale is still a Knight of Camelot, and he needs someone to pretend to be his betrothed. Who better than a demon who's recently quit being a Knight himself and now enjoys wearing gowns over armour? After all, there's no harm in pretending to be in love... Because that's all they're doing, isn't it?

    Is it?

As usual, Crowley had decided to open his mouth before thinking about what exactly it was that he was about to let spill forth from it. As a result of this, unsurprisingly, he was now in a spot of hot water. Boiling water. Possibly water so hot that it had gone ahead and become some kind of pyroclastic steam.

At least Aziraphale could usually be relied upon to take pity on him. This was a big ask though, even by Crowley's please-let-me-keep-empty-aerosol-cans-in-your-cellar-it's-nothing-illegal-I-swear standards. This was, without a doubt, a bigger ask than the aerosol cans.

Anthony J. Crowley is an A-list actor who has been in a bit of a slump over the last couple of years. A.Z. Fell is on the brink of superstardom, but has a reputation as a fuddy duddy. Their managers, Beezle and Gabriel, insist that if they pretend to date each other, it will solve both of their problems. It's only for three months.

What's the worst that can happen?

Crowley blinks behind his shades. “Are you suggesting—”

“We pretend we’re romantically involved? Perhaps I am.” The angel gives Crowley a guilty smile, cheeks still dusted rosy pink. “It shouldn’t be that hard—we’ve known each other for six millennia, give or take.”

Crowley wins tickets for an all-expenses paid cruise for two, and the obvious choice for his plus-one is none other than Aziraphale. They immediately realize upon boarding the ship that this cruise is meant for couples of the romantic variety, and in a panic, they decide to fake a relationship for fear of scrutiny. Romantic excursions and mutual pining ensues.

'“Look I understand, you’ve got to check up on the new occupants, make sure I’m a proper ‘fit’ for the neighborhood or whatever euphemism you’re going to use this time, 'the greater good,' I saw the film, I get it. But I peeked in at the place next door the agent mentioned and if you aren’t bothering him I really don't think you should be-”

“I’m your neighbor,” Aziraphale interrupted. “I own that place next door?”

    “Oh.”'

Since the next shop over closed down, Aziraphale's had a peaceful few months, barring those unpleasant interactions with the men in cheap suits who keep trying to persuade him to sell his shop. But now a (handsome) new owner has taken up residence beside him and, horror of horrors, he wants to open up a coffee shop.
