Athena’s eyes flash and glow, and she raises her hands. Annabeth closes her eyes, and everything in the air sizzles to a stop. There is a faint sea breeze, and then a familiar presence at her side.
“It would be unwise of you to hurt her.”
She opens her eyes to her boyfriend’s dad standing behind her, his eyes intent on her mother, who looks like she’s about to blow her top. Annabeth doesn’t breathe, doesn’t look away from Athena, but she takes several quick steps back to stand at Poseidon’s side. It’s not conscious; it’s a move based purely on self-preservation. Still, Annabeth is aware that every step she takes into the sea increases her mother’s ire and decreases the likelihood that Annabeth will ever be forgiven.

A cold wind blew at their backs, as if the Pit was taking in a breath. Annabeth wasn’t strong enough to combat the gravitational pull and wind combined. She only had one hand free to hold Percy, and she couldn’t let go of the bolt, the key to the entire quest. In less than a second, Percy was ripped from her grasp and gone into the depths of Tartarus.
It's Annabeth's quest, and she succeeded in delivering the bolt. But as the prophecy warned, she failed in saving what matters most. While Annabeth becomes the Hero of Olympus, Percy survives years in Tartarus as an unwilling pawn.

And so was born the infamous class 1-A. Would-be criminals from all over the country were selected, and a group of twenty now roam the halls of the school, alongside the heroes of the next generation.
Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:
"You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...
