Josuke looked at the girl hiding behind her father. The girl who was only showing half of her face to the estranged family member she's probably only heard of once before in her life. The tip of her thumb was resting nervously in her mouth. After a split second, she decided to step out of Jotaro's shadow.
"Hiya," she said, just as softly, but her toothless grin seemed to light up the room. "I've heard lots 'bout you."
Irene??
Josuke could feel cold sweat coat his neck. He wanted to stumble back, wanted to raise his hands in front of his face as if his calloused hands could block the reality from which he was living. He knew, he knew, that since the moment he woke up in this strange town once more, that things felt off— and not in the usual Morioh sense.
Her name, Josuke could only think with panic flooding his mind, is Jolyne. I am not supposed to be here.

Even for Slade's healing factor, it took about three full hours of overwhelming pain to mend his bones. He could almost remember a time before, when he was a mere human like Grayson. He remembered how tired he was, when he was constantly injured, and how he really only wanted Addie to tell him that he’ll be alright.
“You’ll do fine, kid.” Slade breathed, his voice too quiet for the still air that surrounded them. Too honest, too caring. He couldn’t seem to stop. “Just take a few days off. Rest, recover, and in no time you’ll be back on the streets.”

“Come here,” Daemon beckoned. When she stood before him, the gentle pressure of his hands at her waist bid her to turn around. Before them was a spyhole, through which daylight drifted, a sharp bolt of illumination. A window into whatever room was on the other side. Jacaerys’ bedroom, she realised. Daemon was looking into Jace’s bedroom.
He shushed her softly. “Speak quietly, else they will hear you and stop.”
“They?” She peered through the slot again. Daemon walked them closer, he and her, his front plastered to her back. His cold hands chilled her even through her bodice.
“Yes.” He chuckled. “To watch them discover our heritage is a distinct pleasure.”
Rhaenyra discovers that, once again, her sons are more Targaryen than most expect. When her sweet Lucerys dies, she comforts her eldest son.
