Summary
With a pout of his own, he requested, "Kiss it better?"
Jean snorted out a laugh again and replied, "Your sinuses?"
Jeremy pouted and nodded pathetically back. Jean huffed in mock exasperation then bent over, peppering soft kisses all over Jeremy’s forehead, eyelids, cheeks and nose. “Better?” he mumbled lowly against Jeremy’s lips.

Summary
Seth's just finished vomiting his guts out at three in the afternoon when he finds out.
He's sat on the floor, bundled in a hoodie a couple sizes too big, phone sitting open on the bathmat. Time to ready for practice had come and gone, and still he hadn't bothered to dress- barely crawled out of bed to do this, now, only forced to by his roommate's scheduled absence. He'd felt his stomach drop as soon as Dan swung by to whisk Matt away, knowing undoubtedly- this could be his only chance.
In other news, he hasn't had his period in a month and a half.

Summary
“I think I’ve got the timeline now,” James says. “The previously unexplained hospital stay happened several days after Kevin approached us about the transfer. My guess is it took a bit of time out of the… environment… of the Nest for his body to really start feeling the high sugars. And with the state of his injuries, I can’t imagine discerning one pain from another was possible.”
“It’s insane. Everything about it makes perfect sense and none at all. I keep trying to find the words but the only thing coming to my mind is just ‘what the fuck’ on repeat?”
“The more I find out about Edgar Allen, the angrier I get,” Rhemann confesses. “I’m just relieved that Neil dragged him here when he did.”
“Jean’s not,” Jeremy says immediately. “He has creatively threatened his death multiple times.”
“No, I don’t suspect he is,” James says sagely. “But it doesn’t matter, because he’s here to be angry about it.”

Summary
Even from a distance, with the man’s face bruised and maimed, he was stunning. Jeremy’s heart kicked up inside his chest, thumping loud and steady like Ophelia’s thunderous hooves galloping over the earth.
The young man’s mouth twisted. Holding Jeremy’s gaze, he spit a pool of blood into the dirt at his feet.
“I can go on,” he said, his voice ragged and deep.
Jeremy raised his eyebrow once more, his lips stretching into a slow and provocative smile.

Summary
'Don’t look back.’ Nate had spun Jean around and given a firm push between his shoulder blades. ‘I’m right behind you. It’d be suspicious if we both left at the same time. Just go. Now, before he comes back and this’ll all have been for nothing. Trust me, okay?’
Jean had trusted him, then.
Now, he hated Nathaniel for making him believe the words, for knowing Jean would follow his advice to a fault and be reassured by the blind fucking faith he’d had in his partner. For knowing him so damn well that asking for Jean’s trust was all it took to convince him to leave Nate behind.Kevin and Jean escape the Nest; Nathaniel doesn't, and Jean can't accept that. When his Trojan teammates make critical comments about Nathaniel's playing style while watching a Raven match, Jean doesn't know how to defend him. He is again confronted with how he let Nathaniel down and continues to do so.
Jean thinks back to the day he left the Nest—and left his partner behind.

Summary
Jeremy straightens from the counter to find Jean only feet away from him, staring at him with wide eyes, lips parted. There’s a grocery bag at his feet and what seems to be takeout containers that have split open.
He swipes at his nose with the back of his hand, moving to shield the counter with his body, his back to the drugs so that he’s facing Jean, but it’s too late. Jean has already seen it all.
He stalks towards Jeremy, not even looking at him as he grabs him by the shoulders, forcing Jeremy out of the way.
“Jean, I –”
Jean leans over to inspect the contents of the counter, running his finger through the line Jeremy still had left and rubbing his fingers together. Picking up the bag of little white pills and inspecting the contents. He drops it back onto the counter before slowly turning to Jeremy.
There is no shock in that steely gray gaze anymore, only anger. And maybe hurt.
“What is this, Jeremy?” Jean’s voice is low and rough.

Summary
Jeremy Knox has been tired since summer. Or maybe even since spring. He's not sure. He's also not sure why. Everyone else seems to have an explanation.
OR:
"You've seemed run-down." She went to the fridge to pull out a water bottle. "Are you eating enough?"
"Yes." He was, mostly. He was doing his best.
Her piercing eyes gave Jeremy another once over. "I'd like you to come to the clinic for a check-up before the semester starts. Just routine."
"The team does physicals in September."
"I'd like you to come in for some tests."
He knew what that meant. He looked at his drink. "Mom. I'm clean."
"I know," she said, but the tone meant something else: I know what you've told me, but I'd like some proof.

Summary
"No, you're not real," he says, and he thinks he repeats it a few times, trying to convince himself it's all one bad dream. Whatever is stalking him stops, but Neil can still feel its aura, its power. The presence it has is gargantuan, a wall Neil has no hope of getting past. Just like his father in front of him. At the thought, at the ghost of hands on him, Neil screams. "You're gone!"
And he opens his eyes just as the lightning strikes. It bathes the forest in a bluish glow for half a second, but it's enough for Neil to see.
It's not his father, it's—
The dog in front of him boofs softly, and Neil's eyes widen.

For Neil, it started out small.
He would knock his racquet against the ground three times once he stepped onto the field. He wasn’t sure where or how it started, but everyone knew athletes had their weird rituals. Summary
"Would you come if it were a request and not an order anyway?"
If he’d asked, truly asked, I want to see you topped with please, Jean would have cursed him out and jumped on the first plane to South Carolina. And perhaps I guess you could come here is not a stern come to Palmetto that it could have been, but it is not good enough, it is not what Jean wants from him. In the end that’s what’s changed the most: Jean can want things now, not as much as his heart would like to, but just enough to expect something honest from Kevin.
Jean brushes his fingers over the ridiculous print of a beret on his brand new sheets and asks, "Is there even a difference in your vocabulary between these two?"
"Is there for you?" Kevin retorts.or, Jean Moreau agrees to visit Palmetto during winter break. It goes about as well as you might expect.

Summary
Jeremy and Leo, from their first kiss to the last.
Starting pre-canon when they were in high school, continuing through tsc and slightly past tgr.
Leo hasn’t recognized him yet, so Jeremy could slip away easily enough, could disappear back onto the trail and start running again, but he waits too long, and Leo’s head turns. Part of him had been hoping that Leo had lost his good looks after moving away from California, but he looks just the same.
“You’re back in L.A.,” Jeremy says, aiming for it to be light. He’d heard Tessa Foster tell Mathilda that Leo had gone somewhere south for school, and he’d tried not to pay attention, but he couldn't stop himself.
“Knox,” Leo says. “Saw you made the finals again last year.” It has been a long time since he expected Leo to care what he did, but that’s something, at least.
“We played a good game,” Jeremy says, but he doesn’t really want to chat. They both know what he wants.
