It’s pitiful, how he can barely stand to be alone anymore. The Dean Winchester, not able to sleep through the homicidal nightmares nor sit in an empty room by himself.
“Yeah, no,” Dean breathes out, propping his elbows on the table. He blinks stubbornly at Sam until he gets that lovely bitch-face out of him, and smirks slightly. “Ain’t my fault you decided to give me the most boring shit to look through. Gimme something more interesting than this crap.”

What is the plot of this fic? The plot is Draco Malfoy having a terrible fucking time and never being able to catch a break. It will begin fifth year and take you through his journey of being a death eater, the Battle of Hogwarts and post-war. It will loosely follow some canon events but timelines and dates may not be identical. The story itself is one big what if. What if Draco and Hermione started dating before he became a death eater? What if Draco had been present for certain events during the horcrux hunt? What if the war ended this way and these certain people were lost? The characters and story are in no way meant to be canon but instead, an exploration into other possible characterizations of them.
It's also wise to remember, this is entirely from Draco's point of view. Who is to say that he's a reliable narrator?

For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. But when a reluctant Antonin casts the enchantment, he is unaware that the latent pieces of his own magic still residing in Hermione’s scar will cause the spell to bounce right back at him, rendering them mutually obsessed. He must now find a way to save the brilliant witch who has rapidly become more than just a job, along with himself, before Voldemort realizes the critical error his High Inquisitor has made.

This is a long, slow burn, very smutty, emotional, at times angsty, at other times light-hearted, action-packed Professional Quidditch Players Drarry with a promised happy ending.
Synopsis: It's been eight years. Eight years since Draco's life burned around him in the crumbling ashes of Hogwarts. And he'd done a lot since then, really. He went to Uni, so there's that. Played Quidditch a lot. Then graduated, and played even yet more Quidditch. It became everything. It grew and flourished in his life like a tree in sunlight until it was every he had, everything he wanted, everything he needed.
And then it all fell apart again. The scales somehow always seem tipped ever away from Draco's favour. How Draco managed to go from Greatest of Our Time to barely scraping the active roster while Harry sodding Potter started felt on par with the cruel, apathy of the universe as he knows it. Thankfully, he's done with men. Throw the whole lot out. But the pendulum's got to swing back at some point, and why does it always seem to crash into Harry sodding Potter when it does?
