2D knew Russel hadn't been in the best of moods lately. He'd lost Del. He'd lost his closest friend. It was only natural that he fell into a depressive episode. Who wouldn't? And 2D knew about it. But perhaps he hadn't realized the severity of Russel's struggles… That was until one day at Kong Studios, 2D had to ask Russel for a favor, who spent his days alone in the comforts of his own room. Seeing him in such a state broke 2D’s heart. Naturally, next thing he did was try to cheer Russel up. Perhaps he could show Russel that he doesn't have to feel so alone!
And maybe Russel will learn that, although he lost someone dear, there are still people who care deeply about him.
OR
Russel is sad. 2D makes a song for him.

He knew he was an arsehole. Most of the time, he was proud of that fact. Meant he knew how to fight back. Meant he also wasn't weak. He HATED being perceived as weak, helpless, small, etc. He'd spent his whole adult life making sure he'd never be that again. It was the past, and the past would stay behind him, that's how it should be.
So why did he feel so fragile now?
OR: Murdoc gets high, Russel and 2D come to check on him and take him upstairs to keep an eye on him until Noodle gets home.
