While Clary and Jocelyn were practically family to him, the truth was that the Vampires, that Raphael , were his real family now. Raphael may get annoyed with Simon and tell him to go take a walk quite often, but Raphael didn’t want Simon to really leave, at least Simon hoped Raphael didn’t really want him to leave.
