There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Will’s still looking straight up at the sky. The length of his neck is very, very flushed. Mike can feel his entire face going redder than Vader’s lightsaber. He clenches his hands into tiny little fists, and says, around a groan: “I’m not Han Solo, guys.”
In which Lucas has a thing for Bowie, Will has a thing for Han Solo, Mike has a thing for Will, and El should never be allowed to watch Star Wars again.

“Do you want to go home?” He questions, leaning close and voice soft, and Will pauses, before nodding again. Mike lets out a breath, and lets his hand press against Will a little more firmly when he starts to sway in place again. “Okay, let’s go.”
Then he looks up and is met with smug faces, and Mike flushes when he realizes his own hypocrisy.
“I don’t talk like that,” Max recalls, voice high-pitched and overly girly and – Mike definitely doesn’t talk like that.
According to everyone in his life, Mike has a voice reserved just for Will. He tries to figure out what that says about him.

The Doctor spun to a halt, turning to face Jamie. His hands were pressed palm-to-palm in front of his chest, steepled against his breastbone. Eyes blown wide, he drew in a deep breath, and Jamie couldn’t help but copy him as he scanned his wide eyes.
“Would you marry me, Jamie?” the Doctor said, just a little too loud.
For a moment, Jamie could only stare, his mouth opening and closing like it was sounding out the Doctor’s words, trying to fit them into a sort of sense. When at last they slotted into place, he sprung to his feet as if a jolt of electricity had arced through the mattress. Heat was stinging through his cheeks, but he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the Doctor.
“Wh -” The word caught in his throat. “Why?”
When one of the Doctor and Jamie's adventures lead them to get married, they brush it off as a funny story, something they'll forget soon enough. But somehow they keep telling people they're married, again and again.
The only problem is, they're not actually together. Even if Jamie wishes they were.

“A type of…” Achilles trailed off as he thought about it. He looked at Patroclus carefully and tilted his head. “I like your face, Patroclus. Is that what you mean?”
Patroclus found himself at a loss for words, a little mystified by this entire interaction. It simply wasn’t possible that someone like Achilles didn’t have a type. Were it not for his candid tone and docile expression, Patroclus would have thought he was lying.
An idea formed in Patroclus’ mind, laughable in his absurdity, but also somewhat experimental. He wanted to test the bounds of Achilles’ seeming ‘anything goes’ approach to attraction. It was all totally out of impulse. So, when he said what he said next, he hadn’t expected him to say yes.
“Go out with me, Achilles.”
Achilles is Patroclus' younger schoolmate with an infamous reputation. Every week he'll go out with the first person to ask then break up with them on the seventh day. Patroclus decides to put this to the test. One simple question will lead them down a path that neither of them would have ever expected.
