Padme is a successful senator, still reeling from the events of her kidnap at nineteen. And Shmi and Anakin Skywalker? Oh, they disappeared from Tatooine ten years ago.
a.k.a- Palpatine gets to Anakin before Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon do. Obi-Wan and Padme deal with the fallout.

It's a testament to his upbringing- his ability to keep his cool in spite of whatever fire is burning just below the surface.
But he's learned well that there is a limit to what even a saint could endure, and Bobby Nash is far from a saint.buck's heroics have landed him in the hospital yet again.

"LAFD, call out!" Buck yelled through the empty office rooms. He couldn't hear his teammates, but he assumed they were doing the same.
"LAF-," Buck was cut off as a hand grasped the front of his uniform, knocking off his helmet, and pulled him into a vacant room and slammed the door shut behind him. He turned around, ready to demand some answers when he caught the sight of a gun pointing his direction. He threw his hands up, hoping this guy wasn't a shoot first, ask questions later kind of man.
Buck's mind raced as he took in the man currently holding him at gunpoint. Wearing an oversized flannel, a scarf, and ratty jeans, the man at the end of the gun had steel in his eyes.
"Take off your coat."
"Excuse me?"
The man took a step closer, his grip tightening on the gun. "Did I fucking stutter? Take off your fucking coat."

Summary
When Buck climbs into the passenger seat, Bobby dumps one of his LAFD hoodies onto him and oh, it's cozy.
The glass is cool against his cheek from where he leans against the window, and it's a bit unpleasant but soon enough Bobby's turning the car on and Buck's seat starts to warm up.
He shivers at the contrast of the intense heat from the seat and the cold window, but it's nice. He pulls the hoodie tighter around him, readjusting into a more comfortable position.
It reminds Buck of when Maddie used to pick him up and drive him around in the jeep as they talked for hours. They drove for as long as they could, desperate to stay out of the house, and oftentimes it'd go so late that Buck would fall asleep.
He's forgotten how comforting being driven around at night is.

King Arthur sets out to keep his promise to the spirit of the Druid boy by repealing his father's ban on magic. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done, for reasons including but not limited to the following:
(1) He can't change the law until he understands magic better, but no sorcerer is willing to explain magic to him until he changes the law;
(2) The sorcerers all have some strange obsession with Merlin, which is awakening all sorts of feelings in Arthur that he really doesn't fancy examining too closely;
(3) He is starting to feel like the butt of some Druid-population-wide inside joke involving the mysterious phenomenon called Emrys; and
(4) Oh yeah, Morgana is still trying to kill him.
Thus he embarks on a journey of discovery, diplomacy, accountability, and self-improvement, and maybe even falls in love along the way.
