That’s who she was. When out on voyages by sea to gather the materials necessary for this project Van made sure to shield the professor. Sure, she’s younger than the professor, but she’s been battle hardened since the day she was born. That was the way of the Chapman’s. For this Comfrey made sure she was fed and kept warm at night.
When Comfrey barked an order, Van obeyed, no question about it.
