Summary
Dean’s never been really good at that whole “accomplishment” thing. Drifting is the one thing he really knows how to do, and a trip after his latest failure—college—with just him, his car, and the wide open road is exactly what he needs. Running into a boy with legs longer than the California coastline was definitely not on the agenda, but hey, it’s not like Dean has anywhere else to be.
When the trip becomes more of a series of detours, Dean finds himself more and more drawn to the young boy who seems to be carrying more baggage than Dean originally thought. A secret revealed threatens to shatter everything they’ve built together in this short time; will they make it through or crash and burn like every other thing Dean has ever touched?

"You know that’s not what I meant.” Mr. Smith says into the phone, and he sounds exhausted. Sam doesn’t turn around, trying to give him as much privacy as possible, even if it’s imagined.
Sam throws his whole body weight into his next pull of the handle, feeling the budding sweat from earlier as a full-body wave, pricking at his neck and armpits and forehead.
Nothing. The door doesn’t budge. Sam’s trapped.
Or: Sam Wesson gets stuck in a supply closet with his boss, who's hiding out to fight with his girlfriend. Sensing the available omega that Sam's been into for months, Sam goes into an early rut.

Sam is an Omega who is the furthest thing from the “typical omega” concept. He’s tall, muscular, and has trained himself to not be submissive. He has been living as beta for so long, hiding his true nature, that he has isolated himself forming any sort of relationship.
Dean has been trying to stay afloat for years. But a shattered family past has left him numb to the idea that someone might actually like him or that it’s okay for him to like someone.
Something like fate keeps pushing these two together and it starts to become clear that they just might be meant for each other.

He calls Sam baby under the safety of the night, and Sam presses in closer with a sleepy-kitten sound and whispers, “Okay, mommy.” as the tip of his nose trails a line down the side of Dean’s throat. Sam falls asleep soon after that. Dean doesn’t.

Summary
When Sam catches wind of a trio of strange murders in central Texas, the Winchesters decide to swing through on their way back to the bunker just to check it out. What initially seems like a curse turns out to be a deeper, more violent phenomenon involving not just the victims, but the entire Georgetown community - going back for more than a century. Meanwhile, emotional/physical exhaustion and previous injuries begin to take their toll on the brothers, and the nature of the case starts making certain long-buried issues and feelings harder and harder to ignore.

Or: Dean drinks a love potion. Sam is falling apart at the seams because he's been in love with his brother for more than a decade.
