Sue goes to sleep in her quiet Earth bedroom and wakes up on cold stone in Benden Weyr. Her Luggage is real. Kyrith is real. Dragons are real — and the timeline is wrong.
A temporal knot is choking Pern’s history, storms guard the South, and the gold hatchling Zabeth climbs the Hatching Ground stands to choose a woman who was never meant to be a candidate.
