After all, there is more to life than life itself, and there is more to the world than the earthly things.

"If I died now, I think my family would feel bad for me. But I can’t even be sure about that, because it’s not like they care about me when I’m living. But that’s the interesting thing. -Buck Grunt, age 13.Years have passed, the Grunt brothers have followed in their father's footsteps. Colonel Tank and Corporal Ripp have never gotten along, and who knows if their little brother's untimely death will mend that.

Strangetown is a quiet place nestled between civilization and the Road To Nowhere. The summer of '85 was going great until a 'satellite' crash shook the town to its core. It is up to the local military to locate and neutralize the alien creature stalking around Strangetown, and the townspeople to help locate their inhuman visitor.
Meanwhile, Jenny Curious can't pass up the opportunity to find companionship with the interstellar traveler, Pollination Technician #9.
It all starts on a cool summer night, when the curious brothers decide to steal their dad's telescope to look at the stars.

Summary
Although he wouldn’t openly admit it, Vidcund did have a soft spot for the kid.
However, the one thing Vidcund could count on was that his role of “no nonsense” uncle always had a forseeable end. When the repetition of the bright, loud mess on TV proclaiming to be children’s programming became too much to bear, Lazlo was happy to take over. Late night feedings and fussings were delt with by the parents; the barrier that was Vidcund’s bedroom door meant that his late night research and even later sleeping schedule would go mostly undisturbed. Yes, the addition of Tycho certainly made the day to day more interesting, and Vidcund had definitely found that his overall mood had improved over the past year thanks in part to Tycho’s prescence. Nevertheless, he certainly did not envy Pascal’s position as primary caregiver.
He could never be a parent, of that much he was sure.

Summary
Cassandra has spent her life as a pawn in her father’s world, groomed to be a political prize and married off to someone influential in the industry. But when she is forced into an engagement with DR. Don Lothario Jr. - a charming yet arrogant playboy doctor who believes he owns her - she realizes that the life planned for her will never be the happy ending she dreams of.
One night, after enduring yet another evening by Don’s side, Cassandra escapes. Exhausted and desperate, she slips away from the club and climbs into the bed of a truck, falling asleep beneath a thin cover. When she awakens, she finds herself in Strangerville, a remote desert town that seems to exist in a world apart from the one she has always known.
In Strangerville, Cassandra discovers a chance to reclaim her life, to explore freedom she has never known, and to confront the consequences of the choices she’s long been forced to accept. But leaving the gilded cage of her past may be only the beginning - for in a town this strange, nothing is ever truly simple, and escaping her father’s shadow may demand more than she ever imagined.
