Wylan Hendricks is a singer songwriter, and one of the biggest stars of his generation. He’s also the most secretive star, never having given an interview before. Almost nothing is known about him besides his name, his face, and his music.
After accidentally breaking into Hollywood together on a con gone sideways, Jesper Fahey hosts a moderately successful talk show with his friend/agent/producer Kaz Brekker. Kaz’s talent agency, The Crow Club, has a reputation for only picking the best up and comers, and guaranteeing their success. He also has a reputation for doing things outside of the law, not that anyone has been able to prove anything.
When Wylan needs help breaking out of a (probably illegal) contract with his father, he knows that Kaz is the only one who could go up against Jan Van Eck and win. With the freedom to do what he wants and Kaz as his agent, they decide it’s time for Wylan’s first interview. And what better place to start than the Jesper Fahey Show?

Or it would be, if not for the fact that there seems to be more to Wylan Van Eck than meets the eye, and Jesper can’t help but be intrigued—and maybe a bit charmed, too.

"Yes," she admitted. "I just... start overthinking. And sometimes it feels like I'll get there, and then I lose focus."
She shifted awkwardly under her blanket, closing her eyes. Then she turned her head away from him and he thought perhaps this was all, that she’d clam up now and distance herself. Instead, she drew a deep breath and faced him again, bravely looking him in the eye though he could see her hand shaking when she adjusted her blanket.
"I think of you... When I try."
The confession was quiet, but it felt like she had shouted it directly into his face. Suddenly, parts of him he usually ignored were awake, and the hair rose on his arms as he detected the silent challenge: do you think of me too?
