Lucifer burning his wings whips Amenadiel up into a frenzied rage, resulting in the younger angel receiving a much more severe beating. In that instance, Lucifer prays to everybody and anybody who could possibly hear: he will die before he allows Amenadiel to drag him back down to Hell again. Summary
She realizes belatedly that he hasn’t moved a muscle. She’d think he wasn’t breathing if she couldn’t see his chest rise and fall.
“I think, for both of us, it’ll be best if I no longer work with the LAPD.”
And there it is. Immediately her train of thought screeches to a halt and her world comes crashing down. All she can muster is a meager, “what?”
Or, Chloe confesses that she is happy with Marcus. Lucifer takes it a step too far and make a promise that he will step away form her personal life, causing him to resign from the LAPD. Will they be able to find each other again? How will Chloe react when she finds out about Lucifer? And where does that leave Cain?
