Summary
Sure enough, there's Chuuya, sitting in front of the window. He looks a little different compared to the Chuuya Sigma knows; his hair's a little tousled from sleep, his t-shirt untucked from his slacks, and his hat is nowehere to be found. His eyes are tired, and an unlit cigarette hangs from his lips as he slouches in the chair. He has such an unusually relaxed air about him, it's a little disconcerting.
Chuuya blinks up at him expectantly, probably waiting for him to move or say something. Shit, Sigma's just been staring.
“Sorry,” he mumbles, keeping his voice hushed as he slowly closes the door behind him.

“Of course I did.” Dazai laughs, a dull, heartless laugh, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. You're my subordinate. Of course I'd remember. I remember everything.

Summary
Chuuya glares daggers at himself in the bathroom mirror, willing away the painful tightness in his throat. His mouth still tastes like bitter stomach acid no matter how much water he forces down.
His composure breaks, only for a moment, and he squeezes his eyes shut until the terrible, devastated face in the mirror is gone. Chuuya can't look any longer. He'll make himself sick again.

He lowers his gaze. He digs his nails into his neck and scratches, searching for even the slightest hint of the pain he was used to, that kept the tiger in line. He looks at the knives on the counter. He bites the tip of his tongue.
Akutagawa reaches up with one hand to take the other’s and pulls it away from his neck, and with the other he strokes the scar area so gently that Atsushi, despite his reservations, melts under his touch.
atsushi knows what his ghosts look like.
