Summary
He blinked, like surfacing too fast from deep water.
For a second, nothing made sense—the angle of his arm, the way his hand was still curled around the scalpel, the faint metallic smell in the air. Then his eyes focused, and the jagged wound across his forearm came into sharp relief.
Frank stared at it, his expression flattening as the dissociation peeled back. The cut was deeper than usual. “Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, pressing gauze against his forearm. The fabric soaked through faster than he liked. That was… not ideal.
Frank Langdon, now divorced and crashing at Jack Abbot's apartment, has turned to self harm in order to cope. When he cuts too deep, Abbot and Robby find out about his new problem against his will.

Summary
Trinity barely has time to catch up to the sensations she’s feeling when an arm loops around her lower back and keeps her from hitting the ground. Before she can panic, Ellis’ low voice rumbles in her ear, smooth and concerned.
“Hey, hey, alright. I got you.”
“How… where did you come-.”
“Finishing with a patient in South twenty-two. Thought I spotted a resident in crisis. Talk to me. What’s going on?”
Now that someone is holding her up, the floatiness of her body feels like it’s been ramped up to a million.

Summary
Trinity stumbled towards the bathroom, her joints popping and creaking. She tripped over a thrash bag that Whitaker was supposed to grab on his way out in the morning, barely regained her balance, closed and locked the door, then finally, finally dropped down beside the toilet, throwing up everything she had in her stomach.
She groaned. Redbulls were pricy as fuck.Trinity breaks down after an particularly unlucky day at the Pitt.

Summary
“It’s—it’s clean.” She’s a doctor, and before she was ever a doctor, she was clinical, precise, and careful.
After a moment, Robby says, “I’m sure it was, but after a day in the ER it isn’t anymore.”
White lines, marred by angry red. Disinfectant stings but no more than she's used to (no more than she likes), Robby tending to it gently, like there's nothing more natural, but clinically, because he can't get too close. Her hands in her lap tense. Her muscles contract. On instinct her body doesn’t let her relax, and she’s not sure it ever will, not when Grace spent what was left of her sanity caring for Trinity, and when it was too much to handle, let her body relax forever. She let herself give into it. Trinity wanted to give into it too.
Trinity faces relapse; Robby tends to her. It's not as unnatural or wrong as either of them feels it should be.

Summary
Dennis’s eyes dropped, and he noticed his own shoes. They were covered in blood and left bright red streaks—which seemed so violent, so aggressive—on the white floor of the ED. It looked like a crime scene.
Just like the bathtub, where he had found the unconscious body of his best friend. Just like her wrists, which he had pressed down on with all his might, until his hands cramped, and then even harder, until the paramedics took over.
And even then, he didn’t remember letting go.OR
Trinity attempts suicide, Dennis suffers from acute stress response, and Robby looks after him.

Summary
My VERY emotional reaction to ep 10.
After being increasingly disregarded throughout the shift that was the anniversary of her best friends suicide, Trinity feels the last straw snap inside of her attempts suicide after arriving to an empty home with an empty heart: Her last coherent thought, before the dark became total, was something that felt like relief—a forbidden pleasure she found in following Helen's footsteps into darkness.
Garcia is the one to find her.
or
this is my attempt to reconcile the hurt/comfort Garcia–has–a–heart–of–gold–but–is–really–reactionary dynamic I've been envisioning with what we saw tonight. with a bunch of angst bc im really pissed off at garcia lol

Summary
Trinity Santos wasn’t going to kill herself.
Did she think about it? Yes. Did she joke about it? Yes. Did she actually want to throw herself off the roof and become sidewalk jelly? No.
She just wouldn’t mind if something else did it for her; A car that didn’t slow down in time. An angry patient with a gun. Some bad oysters. If she stays busy enough, useful enough, needed enough, she can keep going for another day. Until one day, the levee breaks and sucks Trinity into a hole she’s not sure she wants to get out of.

Summary
Spencer is usually good at treading water.
His life has been a slow drip of trauma, only broken up by torrents and floods. When it rains, he supposes. He can’t remember ever being fully above water. He’s always at least half-drowning. Life has always been a constant battle of keeping afloat, keeping his head up enough to suck in trembling breaths. He swims. He tries to float. He’s gotten good at swimming. At least, good enough not the drown.
Usually, at least.
Right now, Spencer’s on the bottom of the lake. He’s slowly drowning, watching as the bubbles drift up from his mouth. He’s drowning. And this time, he actually will.
