What if Buddy – Syndrome – decided: instead of eliminating all of the Supers, he’d capture them and use them to figure out how to make himself a true Super? They had just escaped hell. The five of them survived the hardest almost 10 hours of their lives. Their eyes saw what a human should never let their eyes see. They lost what no one from their age should ever lose. They experience what no sane human could ever be able to handle. They felt what no one should ever feel.
But they escaped. They escaped and now they are alive. Bruised, traumatized, exhausted, but whole and alive.
Only to be told they, in fact, didn’t escape.
Or, Benito, Jeffrey, Luis, Diego, and Emi need to act as a happy, functional middle-class normal family in a two-story house in Switzerland while they wait for the cure for their infection.
It should be easy, to start over in another country with the ones that saved your life.
