Summary
For the first time in however long it had been, William found that he wasn’t shivering. The constant tremors that never seemed to give him a break had ceased, along with the bone-deep chill that plagued him.
He was comfortable and content. Vyncent was warm against his side, chasing away the coldness, and Dakota was pressed close enough that William could feel the constant pressure. It was surprisingly grounding during a time when William would normally just space out and think of other things. But being squished between his two friends was enough to keep him present. At least enough so that he was somewhat following along with the progress of the game.

“Will?” Dakota muttered, making an attempt to smooth William’s bangs back to see a bit more of his face. William snuffled and he scrunched up his nose as Dakota tried to move him a little bit, his grip tightened.

So really, William had worse problems to deal with. His headache wasn’t the biggest concern. But god, did his head hurt.
One moment, William swore that he had barely managed to check the three of them into a motel nearby with what money he had. He had made some sort of agreement with Dakota and Vyncent (that William was really struggling to remember) while they were trying to settle in the room and figure out where to go from there.
And then now, William was here… somehow (he honestly didn’t remember the walk here, that probably wasn’t very good).

His phone slipped out of his hands, tumbling off the bed with a loud thud that made William flinch, his hands curling up to cover his head.

There’s a sudden interruption of light. It’s like a tiny, localized dawn in this corner of Brooklyn alone. A glowing circle hangs over the pier, spilling warm yellow across the water and the boardwalk.
Mikey’s senses go to war with themselves. Obviously, historically, random portals are no good. His head knows that. But his heart is soothed by it, the way he feels when Raph is late coming home from patrol and he finally walks through the door.
It’s golden and gentle and it feels like family.
His brothers are tense, but they haven’t sprung into action yet. No one’s speaking. They must feel it, too.
Rise!Mikey’s portal in the prison dimension takes Leo a little bit farther than he meant for it to. 12!Mikey finds a familiar-looking stranger.

Gill looked happy as he filled the tub up with water, and he let out a soft vibration that spread through his throat and chest that he’d found out tritons make when their especially happy. Chip was rolling up his sleeves to wash the crust off of his hands when he felt a hand brush his collarbone, and Gillion was tugging him down. He startled and caught himself with the rim of the tub, looking down at the sea-dwelling person who had just their mouth, nose, and eyes up above the water. “Has anybody ever told you how pretty your eyes look?”
Chip was caught off guard by this, but then remember that between the 5 hours of sleep Gillion had gotten, heavy guard-battling, and a night of drinking, he was very much probably delirious. No part of Chip definitely didn’t want him to be. Definitely not.

There was a tear in his shirt.
It was a large, three grouped tear from the claws of the last beast that the group had come across and had to defeat. At the time, Gillion hadn’t even bothered to care about the rip that now adorned his shirt since he had been bleeding and trying not to pass out from the pain.
But now that they were back on the ship and sailing across the bright blue ocean, it seemed improper to wear the ruined shirt. Which served as a problem, since the only other shirt that he owned ended up being his pajamas (which he only wore when sleeping in a bed).

Gillion's shirt gets ripped and he has to wear one of Chip's for the day until Jay mends it. It's really not good on his fins.

Tall blades of grass rippled in an imaginary wind, blowing and swaying gently as if they were alive, like small tendrils reaching up towards a permanently writhing gray sky. What might have been seen as dark, angry clouds stretched high above the occasional pass of a dilapidated tree in the long stretch of desolate meadows. The clouds swirled and twisted, constantly moving, flickering, changing into different shades of black and white, flickering between faces and personalities.
And the grass below churned like a roaring ocean, kicking up bugs and dust and dirt. It sprayed fragments of… things… spirits… people? Mere remnants of something that used to exist but now can barely manage a corporeal form.

William has nightmares of the spirit world... it really affects him.
