When America picked up the gun, his fingers trembling as they worked with the dangerous object, Japan's eyes followed the movement almost immediately.
Why was he so on edge?
He had seen America holding that gun so many times he had lost count. But, right now, something inside of him felt that it was wrong - that he shouldn't be anywhere near it.
He swallowed, as the voice in the back of his mind screamed at him to take it away. Still, he ignored it. Holding out hope that this wasn't what it looked like.
That he was just overthinking it.

The bass from the nearby speaker thudded through Alfred’s chest as he sighed in resignation, “I thought we agreed you’d stop trying to drag me into this.”
“We can agree that I lied,” His best friend continued, toying with his own glass, “You’re broke and listen, it hurts to see you eating cheap-ass cereal with a cheap-ass spoon when we both know you could be eating cheap-ass cereal with a golden spoon.”
