Summary
"Oh?" Dabi taunts in that flashfire voice of his; and Hawks is reminded, yet again, how easily he burns. "Tell me, what poor little bastard's gonna be riding your ugly-ass coattails for the next few months?"
Hawks frowns, realizing he's just set up a question he actually has to answer. Dabi will find out anyway, won't he? If there's one thing Hawks has learned, it's that Dabi has his ways. Hawks can never hide anything from him, no matter how hard he tries, a fact that will someday spell his undoing –– but there's no way around it now.
Willing his fight-or-flight instinct into silence, Hawks reminds his sharpened feathers he's not here for either. It'll be fine. The worst part of removing a bandaid is the dread before you rip it off. Right?
So Hawks braces himself, and answers:
"Todoroki Shouto."
---
Hawks' doomed flight towards the sun is thrown off-course when he receives a surprise request from Endeavor's son, asking to be his work-study student. And soon, Dabi's worst nightmare takes a new form when Shouto joins Hawks' obvious-as-hell spy mission, putting them in forced proximity -- only for him to discover that his father's perfect masterpiece is nothing like he thought he was.

Summary
There was a boy who wanted to be a hero more than anything else, but he couldn't because he was Quirkless. Then he met All Might, who gave him what he'd always wanted: the chance to be a hero and save the world.
Only, that's not how this story goes.
Midoriya Izuku does not get One for All. He remains an unimportant nobody. Main characters can only be important people, so that job has been given to Todoroki Shouto, who is much worse off because a certain nobody wasn't there to save him.Series

Summary
He feels empty, lost, lonely and tired. He’s tired. So, so tired. His body feels heavy, his brain no longer knows what rest feels like, what living without pain is like.
Pills don’t work. He swallows them dry, everyday three: two in the morning, one before he goes to sleep and he still feels hollow. It’s normal he guesses, three tiny pills are not going to fill this vacant emptiness inside of him, this nothingness he has slowly become in his 24 years of pathetic life.

"I should just pick up my razor and do it. No more small cuts just two big slits across my forearms and be over with everything and—”
“Don’t do that.”

"Did ya happen to catch his name?"
"Oh yeah! Rin tho he wouldn't tell me the full thing." Isagi said still mopping around, the sound of him shutting the old lockers causing Hiori's ears to ring.
Rin it meant cold but could also be used to convey elegance or beauty and what Hiori had witnessed on the rink was just that. His skating style was elegant beautiful but oh so cold, destructive even. The way he pushed himself the way the ice scratched and dented it was all so tantalizing.
If Isagi noticed the way Hiori's face flushed or how his eyes glazed over in thought he didn't mention it or maybe he avoided acknowledging it at all.
A skater was many things cruel and cunning of course; agile swift and elegant obviously; but vulnerable soft and welcoming was not fitting. Rin held an air of distrust, unwillingness, and disregard.
Hiori couldn’t help the way he was drawn toward the self destructive nature. Maybe something was captivating about a person willing to give up every piece of themselves. Or maybe it was the way he took to the ice like a swan took to water; it was mesmerizing.

Summary
"So for our final few sessions we'll be talking about Hiori." Rin blinks a few times hearing someone else say his name after so long.
They try not to mention Hiori around him.
They always dance around the topic like it's taboo. She gives him looks when he mentions still seeing blue hair in his peripherals and hearing his giggle in quiet rooms.
He knows enough not to mention to her that he still sees him in his head every day. That they talk, and laugh, and kiss like everything's okay; like they aren't kilometers apart breathing through tubes in a hospital room wasting away. Rin tries not to think about it all too much because punching padded walls feels meaningless and irritating.
Or: After Hiori's death Rin ends up in a mental hospital, finally Anri, his therapist, decides it's almost time to let him go after one final session. It does go well.

Summary
Itoshi Rin has always known what is expected of him.
Be good at football.
Stay disciplined.
Keep moving.
Don’t ask unnecessary questions. At university, surrounded by old rivals, new acquaintances, international players, and a life that is finally supposed to belong to him, Rin finds himself settling into something that almost resembles normal.
Almost.
Because some things have been decided for him long before he was old enough to question them, and some truths have been buried so deeply that even Rin doesn’t know they’re there.
Then there is Bunny Iglesias -a stranger he barely knows, an Enigma with a habit of appearing at the edges of Rin’s life and saying exactly enough to be annoying.
This is not a story about falling in love quickly.
It’s about two people learning, slowly and painfully, what it means to become something other than what they were told to be.

Whispers from students are heard, cheers in their subpar ranks, in the knowledge that they’d at least reached their half-baked goals. Rin isn’t like that; if he cannot be first, then why celebrate meaningless things? If he is not the best, then there is no cause for excitement, no reason to be gratified in his minor achievements.
There will always be someone ahead of you, someone you have to destroy, someone you have to prove yourself to.
Or: This is the unravelling of Rin Itoshi in a high school academic setting
