Summary
Ed looks down, ready to get on with things, and he startles. He’s—Stede—this fucking guy has shoved his hand through the hole in the wall, fingers lined up and thumb out like he’s—nah—he wants to—
“Are you trying to shake hands?”
“Yes, I thought—”
Ed blinks. “Through a glory hole?”
“Oh Christ,” the man allegedly named Stede says, “I’ve messed this up already, haven’t I? I’m so sorry, Jeff, just forget I—hang on—damn.”
It's a glory hole meet-cute! Multiple chapters of Ed and Stede falling in love through a hole in a bathroom wall. Sex, feelings, pining, bad decisions -- all contained within. Now COMPLETE.

Summary
Ed’s used to visitors, though the novelty of his home has worn off in the last eighteen months or so, the uninvited guests becoming fewer and further between. He’s used to curiosity, and questions he rarely feels like answering. He’s used to people forgetting that this is, in fact, his home, and not some out of the way tourist attraction.
He’s used to strangers.
But he’s starting to think that perhaps, not all his visitors need to stay strangers.
or: Ed has a simple life. He has a self-built, off grid, mostly self-sustaining house tucked away in the middle of a forest. He has five chickens, and a partially feral cat. He lives alone, and he likes it that way. Until the appearance of an incredibly nosy, incredibly handsome stranger three weekends in a row has him questioning every self-imposed rule he's ever set himself.

Summary
Stede’s in the middle of a pretty dramatic monologue when the first flake falls, drifting gently through the air to land on Ed’s sleeve. He stares at it as it melts, the pattern disappearing slowly into the tiny creases in the leather. When he looks over, there’s more, disappearing into the floor beneath Stede’s feet, the fabric of his sleeve, surrendering immediately to the warmth of his bare skin. Stede’s voice trails off, the story forgotten mid-sentence, and a strange quiet falls across the deck.
“It’s snowing,” Stede says, and his voice is so full of sweet wonder that Ed can’t bring it upon himself to gently mock him for stating the absolute bloody obvious.
or: the crew of the Revenge experience their first ever snowfall. Stede's determined to make the absolute most of it while it lasts.

Summary
The thing is, when you’re Blackbeard you’ve got kind of a reputation to uphold. When you captain a ship, when you lead a crew, when people look up to you, tell stories, build a legend – parts of that legend are always more accurate than others.
And maybe you just let it slide, some of the things people say. Some of the things they assume. Maybe you swagger around and wear black leather and are a handsy bastard and let the stories tell themselves.
Maybe you don't want to talk about it.

Summary
Stede sits down to read his nightly bedtime story to the crew of the Revenge, only to discover that Lucius has saddled him with a particularly trashy novel in which a gentleman and a pirate begin a hot and heavy romance. Ed has been on board for several weeks, and everyone is sick of the slow burn and apparently ready to shove them down the path to a real romance by whatever means they can.
As Stede reads (and tries to work out who the author of the story might be), they'll bicker their way through romance tropes, story structures, and what it means to have a happy ending. And if by the end of this night Edward Teach isn't in Stede Bonnet's bed, Lucius will probably have to eat his match-making hat...

Summary
“I heard you’re a writer,” Blackbeard says.
There’s a sudden rustling sound as Blackbeard kicks something across the floor. Frenchie bends down to retrieve it, and sees that it’s a notebook. Wide and empty, like that one Lucius used to carry around with him.
“Write us a better ending then.”
(Captain Blackbeard has heard about Frenchie’s ‘bit of fanfiction.’ He asks him to write a better ending for his and Stede’s story. Frenchie tries his best but soon other people want to tell the story the way it should have gone, including Fang, Lucius, Ivan, Jim, and ultimately Ed. In the act of surviving and telling stories together, relationships are considered, examined, and developed. Meanwhile, a ship trailing seagulls grows closer and closer on the horizon.)

“I’d be more than happy to teach you anything you’d like, if you’re still interested."
“Hmm…” I ponder this for a moment. I remember a silly little fantasy I had weeks ago about dancing with Stede in a fancy ballroom, and I smile to myself. “Dancing,” I mumble without even realizing it.
“Hm?”
Fuck it. “Ballroom dancing?” I ask, raising an eyebrow at him. “Is that something you know how to do?”
Stede scoffs, feigning offense. “Edward, please. Of course I know how to dance! I would be honored to teach you.” Before I know it, his fingers are sliding away and he’s on his feet, extending a hand to me.
I laugh. “Right now?”
“Right now,” he echoes. “May I have this dance?”
My heart feels like it’s doing somersaults in my chest and my stomach is fluttering violently, but I smile and take Stede’s hand. “You may.”

Summary
Stede, a history professor specializing in the golden age of piracy, is fascinated when art professor Edward Teach joins his humble university’s faculty. Even more fascinating are the rumors that Ed is actually the famous, anonymous artist, Blackbeard. Stede falls a little bit in love. Then a lot.
Across the academic year, Stede tips headfirst into dizzying romance, mind-blowing sex, and happiness he couldn't have dreamed up if he'd tried. He learns lessons he never knew he needed, forcing him to reevaluate everything from his career goals to his relationships with his children. Ed is at the center of it all, teaching Stede at every turn exactly how wonderful life can be—and the startling speed with which fear and hesitation could snatch away his newfound love.
Eventually, the only thing that matters for them both is learning enough about love to stop it from slipping through their fingers.

Summary
Stede and Ed - in a flash of either stupidity or genius - come up with a plan to pose as a couple for the holidays. This way, Stede could avoid being set up by Lucius as well as having to come up with a reason why his mysterious partner suddenly wouldn't make the Christmas party Lucius is hosting. It should be easy, in theory. It's only for the party, and maybe the odd time Stede and Ed are seen together in the days leading up to the event.
Except, of course, it isn't.
Because not only does this simple plan get painfully out of hand from the onset, they've been in love with each other for years. They just never told one another. And, they don't intend to.A modern day holiday romcom.

Summary
“Hey, so, those two, right, they get together in the end?” Ed asks.
“I would protest spoiling it, but I think it's rather obvious, isn't it?” Stede says. His nose wrinkles as he smiles. “The tension is certainly there from the beginning. It just takes them a while to get there.”
“Good. Would have been a shit story otherwise."
Former local grunge legend Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard of Blackbeard & the Krakens, has fallen on hard times. Following slanderous accusations from ex-bandmate (and ex-lover) Calico Jack, Ed is blacklisted from all his usual venues. His career is over, and, so far as he’s concerned, so is his life. He spends his days wallowing in a dingy Seattle apartment, fighting with his manager and bemoaning his loss of purpose.
Enter one Stede Bonnet, Ed’s obnoxiously loud next-door-neighbor. Stede Bonnet is an overly enthusiastic playwright who cares way too much about Shakespeare and writes like a dandy from the 18th century.
He’s the most interesting thing to happen to Ed in years.
