Summary
When Dick was Batman he created the Rapunzel Code. It was twist on the fairy tale and twist on being benched that let him protect his Batgirl and Robin in a different way.
After a rough night, Steph and Damian use the code on a very tired Dick. Only Dick is no longer Batman and the entire family is there to watch. They have questions. Many questions, in fact, including some that Steph and Damian are all too happy to answer.

There's an annoying, insufferable smirk on Dick’s face that makes him want to actually deck him. He doesn't, but he feels like he should. “Finally interested in my life, Little Wing?”
Jason rolls his eyes under his domino mask, hoping Dick could somehow see it through them. “More like wanting to know why you’re lurking around my damn territory. Again.”
Dick pouts— yeah, Jason should definitely punch his face— and leans forward on his elbows, hands supporting his fatass head. “Relax. I just came to help Robin out with training and thought you would want some company too.”
Jason stares at him flatly, even though the muscles in his jaw twitched slightly. “Does it look like I want some company?”
The asshole hums, eyes probably studying him under his mask. “You convince yourself that you don’t, but here we are, eating dinner together.”
Jason glares at him… and yet, never denies it. Because he did agree to eat dinner.
Doesn't mean he likes it, though.

Two brothers who call each other nothing and everything, trying to figure out what’s left between them when Gotham refuses to let either of them be whole.

Dick tends to Jason’s bruises, Damian and Tim grudgingly cooperate over dinner, and, without meaning to, the brothers gather in the living room—sharing food, warmth, and silence until exhaustion folds them into one another. When Bruce finds them asleep, he keeps vigil in the chair across from them, letting the weight of peace, however fragile, rest over them all.

He’s still angry.
The revelation sent Dick’s stomach to his feet where he’d frozen in the middle of the kitchen. One hand grasped a glass baking dish while he donned his favorite strawberry-patterned apron around his waist.
Bruce silently eyed Dick, taking in the dish, the ingredients left on the counter, and more importantly, the half empty beer bottle.
Dick didn’t want to fight.
And he really wanted brownies.

Batman gets into a situation during an alien invasion and could use a rescue. Unfortunately, Dick and Jason don't think the Justice League is up for the task. At all.
So Dick lets the League know that he will be handling the situation and to expect Batman back by the end of the night. He even promises that he won't be going alone. No one should stand in the way of a Batfamily rescue, even if the Justice League doesn't know there's a Batfamily at all.

Damian was unsure if whatever his grandfather had done to Richard had taken his taste away along with his sight, hearing, speech and smell.
Taste was the one sense Damian could not really test – whether it had survived along with touch, as much as it could without smell – was impossible to tell. Richard certainly ate the dry scraps quickly, but that of course meant nothing; he would be so desperately hungry.
For no reason at all, Damian thought of Richard’s famously sweet tooth, and his eyes felt stupidly hot.

Really, it was supposed to be the perfect place to hide out for the night. With an Arkham breakout going on and him already nursing injuries it wasn't like he would be out and about anyway, and it wasn't like Dick ever used this particular safehouse so there was little chance Nightwing would run across the still unknown but dangerous Red Hood. Honestly, Jason was somewhat impressed he still had it, and that the spare key was right where Dick had promised a young robin he didn't even like.
He was less impressed to find out that he was wrong, and that Dick did still use this safehouse. He was even less impressed to find out that the safehouse was more to hide from his family and friends.

Perhaps it should concern Dick that Tim thinks, as Jason once did, that he’s the only thing keeping Dick and Bruce from fighting when Alfred isn’t around. That the boy seems to think that his presence is the sole reason why they’re not at each other's throats whenever they’re around each other.
It should be a concern.
“You can’t hold his hand through everything, Nightwing,” Bruce tells him from where he’s sitting, facing away from the rest of the cave. It’s not quite a scolding-the tone is more vaguely annoyed and flat instead of chiding, but it makes Dick grit his teeth anyway. “He needs to learn to handle his own responsibilities.”
But the truth of the matter is that the kid is just plain right.
