Aelwyn turned back, some kind of broken crystal in her hand. “You were annoyingly fun. Goodbye Os-”
And then Ostentatia smacked her over the head with her hammer.

Ostentatia picks up on the fact that Aelwyn is trying to kidnap her and promptly does her own kidnapping instead.Now she's got her crush locked in her basement- for her own safety!- and really needs to figure out how to kill a dragon without letting any of the evil people Aelwyn was working for figure out where their missing asset went.
And also deal with family drama. Because there's always family drama.

"I don't want to go!" Adaine had cried, when Aelwyn all but dragged her out of the house. "I don't like the forest!"
"Will you stop being a baby about it?" Aelwyn had scolded her. "We're just going to the edge of town. I want to look at the fauna myself, it's what researchers do."
Adaine had dragged her feet the whole way there, but she didn't have a choice; Aelwyn was tasked with watching her dumb baby sister, which meant she had free reign to bring Adaine anywhere she wanted to go, and it's not like their parents would care that they were outside by themselves.
"The forest keeps giving me nightmares," Adaine had protested glumly when Aelwyn plopped them both down in front of the giant barrier made of thorns and weaving branches. "I don't like it."

With her junior year at the Aguefort Adventuring Academy kicking off, Fiya Karnon is keeping keeping her fingers crossed for a quiet year, for once. The last two were riddled with wild magic mishaps, some near-apocalyptic events, a couple mental breakdowns, and some regular old fashioned teenage drama, but this year is going to be different. She's going to keep her head down, focus on her academics, and just pray that nothing goes wrong this year.
Or at least that was Fiya's plan, until she meets one Adaine Abernant and is immediately infatuated with her. While she has befriended people before, Fiya begins to feel a special connection with the young Elven Oralce, and it isn't long before Adaine begins to occupy every corner of her frantic mind, leaving Fiya the task of balancing her romantic obsession with the burden of junior year.

After Astarion falls from the Nautiloid, he ends up somewhere new entirely. Namely, he ends up in Sunnydale not long after a certain group of vampire hunters start college there. Surprisingly enough, nobody gets killed.
