Higuruma knows two of those names. Has only met Gojo, obviously, but knows of Nanami Kento through Itadori, and Ino, and Ijichi, and Shoko herself. He sounded like a decent man. A good man, even, and one who’s missed nearly as much as Gojo, if by fewer people. The other two are less than ghosts; Yuu, he’s never heard of before, and Suguru tugs at his memory faintly, but ultimately yields no connection.

He’s surprised they don’t hiss and evaporate on contact for how hot he feels, but he’s grateful for the relief, grateful even more when a cool cloth presses against his forehead. He doesn’t dare open his eyes again, refuses to look upon the visage of his savior, but it jerks him back from his downward spiral.
A groan escapes his lips, one verging on ecstasy.
“Hey, now,” a voice says, stern but quiet—admonishing, but also teasing. “You’re not supposed to be awake yet.”

Maybe he was still in Shibuya, bleeding out, and this was the dying hallucination of a brain starved of oxygen. But the rag was wet in his hand. The floor was hard against his spine. The kid was warm against his leg.
If this was a dream, it was too vivid. If it was a second chance, it was a heavy one.
His gaze returned to the mountain of trash bags. It was a monument to his life: piled up, rotting, ignored, and uselessly stinking up the place. He’d treated his existence like a hand of cards he was waiting to fold.
"Alright," he whispered to the empty, filthy room. "Fine."

So it’s not exactly a shock when he opens his mouth, blue eyes sparkling from behind dark sunglasses (and it’s odd that he’s chosen to wear his glasses here instead of his blindfold; odd to know that Six Eyes trusts him in some weird, skewed way for the simple fact that they both care for a child who deserves more than Toji can give him) and says: “I want you to teach at Jujutsu Tech.”
It’s not a shock, because Gojo has said more ridiculous things with a straighter face than the one that resides on his features now. Toji throws his head back and laughs.
Gojo does not.
“Oh,” says Toji. “You’re not joking.”

She wanted to be beside Jean again, feel him there, and it made her feel weak and stupid and lost, and Mikasa hated feeling weak and stupid and lost, but sitting on his bed last night, and feeling her dear friend be so near, not even an inch from her own skin, had been more relieving than she could have hoped.

Instead of spending one night in Shiganshina alone, such that canon suggests, both the Rumbling and Armin and Connie's journey take multiple days, leaving Jean and Mikasa without anyone except each other. This extended time leaves room for many things to grow, including unexplored feelings, implications for their country, and the volatile suspicion from dangerous Yeagerists who threaten both of their safety.

Summary
They don’t have time but they don’t act like it, with Satoru’s artificial extension. A month and a half as a phrase feels long but as a chronological span it is vanishingly short. It’s all full circle, life resetting back to what it was, Satoru chasing Suguru and wanting him in whatever way he can have him. Same day of death, taken over body retrieved and burnt in one overwhelming funeral pyre. He tells the kids he’ll win, he tells her he’ll lose. Nothing matters, Okkotsu has things in hand, his time and his role are over. It’s all bullshit but he doesn’t drink so she can’t tell him that, not as honestly as she’d like, on an even footing.
The lawyer, though.
