Shouta raises a lone eyebrow. “Twenty-four hours?” he repeats. “That’s a little easy, don’t you think?”
“Don’t say that yet. You don’t know all the rules to the game.”
“Then explain them,” he bites back because if he’s handled teenagers for several years now, he can handle this.
“Fair enough,” she tells him with a sinister gleam in her eyes. “The rules of the game are simple. You have to endure whatever I put you through for the next twenty-four hours without breaking. And to be specific, breaking entails: crying, screaming, begging, passing out, and dying. If you can do that you win, and I let you go.”- - -
Eraserhead was aware of the risks of becoming an Underground Hero. Over 50 precent died in the line of duty with an additional 30 precent going missing sometime in their career to never be found. So, even though he isn't surprised to be kidnapped, he refuses to let this be it. He has students to teach, friends to love, and a husband to get back to. His kidnapper is only making him go through twenty-four hours if he refuses to break.
He won't break. He'll survive. He has to.

Summary
While yes, Aizawa Shouta does have a job at UA high school and is in fact a teacher, he is not supposed to be teaching during patrol. He mostly fights alone, supposed to be a loner. But- damn it, a random kid decided to start playing Vigilante around his patrol area. And although a few people might disagree (Hizashi, Nemuri, Tensei), he is NOT soft. Shouta doesn't start helping the kid, who goes by the name Deku, because he has a secret soft spot for children. No, he only helps because it would be more work to not help the kid because there is no doubt that the Vigilante would get himself killed by being reckless. Really. That's it.
OR:
Five times an up-and-coming Vigilante made Shouta sure he was going to get himself killed and one time this random boy finally gave Shouta hope that he wouldn’t have to constantly deal with reckless kids.

Izuku is tired and done but just because he's tired and done doesn't mean anyone is actually going to give him a break. So when he gets chased, he runs and runs and runs until he can't. And maybe this man he runs into, with eyebags and a glare so harsh that Izuku thinks he'll die if it's directed at him, might be able to help him.
OR: Izuku is bullied and Aizawa steps up to help him out. And he won't stop until he knows Izuku is safe from this type of treatment.
