“Don’t move,” Jason whispers. “If we don’t move he won’t see us.”
“That’s for a T-rex and it’s a lie. They could very well kill you even then.”
“You are shitting on my hopes and dreams, Replacement.”
“I’m not. I’m just saying —”
“Todd,” Damian calls and when he gets no answer from Jason, he whimpers, “Drake.”
“I can't believe I'm saying this but he’s breaking my heart, dude."
“Shut up, don’t give in. It’s a trap.” Jason says. “It’s a trap —”
They lose both the battle and the war when Damian stops waiting for them and instead stumbles forward, almost drunkenly, and unceremoniously flops himself on Jason’s front, full-on crying against his chest.
“Jesus fuck, Baby-bat. Who do I have to kill?”
(Or the one where Jason and Tim come to the Manor on the early hours of the day after a long night of patrol and they find weird new kind of life form out of this world that cries with snot and all inside the Manor. It takes them some time, because they are both dumbasses, to convince themselves that's actually their little brother crying his eyes out.)

Stan can feel his heartbeat thudding, a low, dull ache in his chest, as he stares at the door. He doesn’t know what he expected when he got here—a phone call, some scrap of familiarity—but instead, there’s only that dark, uninviting door, barely visible against the relentless white. His fingers tremble slightly as he shifts his grip, the leather cold and unforgiving against his skin. The silence feels alive, pressing against him, whispering to him that he could just turn the key, drive away, leave it all behind.

A Tale of Two Stans AU:
Instead of fighting over the journal Stan tries to leave, but Ford isn't willing to let him go that easily. During the argument Stan comes into contact with a strange magical substance, and when he wakes up later he finds he's a bit smaller than he remembers.
Now not only does Ford have to worry about Bill taking over the world, he also has to figure out how to turn his brother back to normal.
