Shadow promised himself that he would never end up like him for he had promised Maria before her passing that he'll do what it takes to find order to the years of chaos that drowned and swallowed their kingdom years ago.Maybe that's why he despises Sonic. Sonic was the chaos that seeped its way to the walls of propriety. Control. Something he struggled with, something he maintained. Sonic was the other end of a window, it didn't matter if they're tinted when he could just break that barrier with his fist. You cannot poison someone when they're found immune to your venom.
In Sonic's case, he's immune to Shadow's fury.
Shadow's nose started to tickle as each step a new faint scent came from mobian after mobian. "Shit." He cursed out, huffing as he forced the ache that was forming between his temple to settle— he swore he marked the calendars this month, his cycle wasn't due till next week.
Or so he thought. Could something have possibly triggered it?
Someone blue.
Or
Omega King Shadow meets his arrogant Alpha Jester Sonic. Someone particularly blue caused his heat. Wonder who.

Warmth was the first thing Shadow registered. He can feel the sun landing on his face as he dozed, and he’s comfortable on his stomach under the duvet Sonic had picked out for them. He nuzzles into the pillow, letting the warmth cover him.
His brain wanders, the way it does when you’re half awake, threatening to slip back into dreams. His mind conjures up someone in the bed with him, a strong arm wrapped around his middle and face in Shadow’s quills. Shadow leans back into the warmth, a content smile on his face.
Shadow thinks of blue for a moment, and the mystery person is now Sonic. He can feel the hedgehog’s breath in his ear, wordless murmuring coming from the other as he sleeps. It doesn’t last long, however, as his mind wanders and the dream Sonic wakes up.
