“T-0, greet your new friend,” Wilbur ordered.
Tubbo continued to watch as the robot’s eyes lit up, the blue illuminating, showing that he had received the order. He bowed his head down slightly, before lifting it back up and smiling softly. The actions, the smile. It was extremely realistic. He didn’t understand how Wilbur had managed to make something like this. Especially in such a short amount of time.
“Hello,” the robot spoke, his voice lively. It was slightly rough, not at all artificial, “I’m T-0, it’s a pleasure.”

Tubbo just had to keep reminding himself of the fact. This was a robot, robots can't feel emotions.
Robots cant feel emotions, right?

Phil gently laid a hand on Tommy’s own. He didn’t bother pulling away. Instead, the contact just made the dam break, tears tumbling down his cheeks, desperate cries escaping his lips.
“I know, I know,” Phil soothed, “I’m sorry.”
Tommy didn’t want anymore apologies. He wanted to be told that everything was going to be okay. He wanted for people to confirm that he would be fine and it would all just go away.
“I’m immortal,” he whispered, finally realising how tired he was.
He doesn’t think he’s ever going to get used to this.

Techno was shattered, but all he had to do was play one game. Maybe he will pretend to be crap then lose fairly quickly so he can leave as soon as possible. Tonight’s game was cards, he could deal with this. Wilbur would play first, they would then all take turns, Techno would lose instantly and then escape to the stables. It was a perfect plan.
Starting the game, Wilbur played his card, the ace of spades.
Tommy followed... putting down a plus four from uno?
Phil chuckled, “good try Tommy but you’re not prepared for this! Jolteon, I choose you.”
Wait, what?
“Guys what the hell are we even playing?”

Puffy realised that Tommy needed help and coincidentally, she had just opened up her new therapy. It was perfect, even if it wasn't a complete solution to all his problems, it would still aid him with the healing process.
She had always been blatantly clear that she was there if the boy needed her. However, she just hadn’t realised that it was possible for a teenager to hold so much pain and trauma.
Hell, she hadn't even realised that it wasn’t just Tommy that needed her help so desperately, there were so many more people that needed to book a session with her.
Maybe her new job was going to take a little longer than she had expected.

So much has happened on this server in the past few weeks. Death, loss, destruction. But life still moved forward. It was slow and sluggish, but it was still moving.
Yet Quackity could feel something eating away at him from the inside.
Maybe it was the constant back pain that refused to subside, or it was the continuous headache that wouldn’t stop pounding. Maybe it was the underlying fear that something bad was going to happen. Despite the peace, he couldn’t help but worry that it was going to end soon. Something was bound to happen.
In a way, he was correct. It just wasn’t what he had expected.

What he hadn’t expected to do today was befriend Michael, be enticed by the idea of being an Uncle and then promptly teach the child every single swear word he knew.
Oh boy, today was genuinely going to be a good day, and neither Tubbo nor Ranboo were going to be able to stop him.

Summary
Death elicits many different reactions.
Some mourn because of loss, falling into a pit of despair. Others are frustrated and find themselves trying to blame anyone or anything, lashing out in exasperation. Sometimes people will just deny it even happened, too scared to face the truth and move on.
On the odd occasion someone will laugh.
The Dream SMP has seen its fair share of defeat. It’s not surprising when another person is taken too soon. Another death to be added to the ever-growing list.
If you listen closely, you can hear the soft sobs, the angered yells, and the sickening laughter, echoing throughout a broken server.

Why was that the phrase that echoed in his mind as he floated through the void? Why does he think of that once his life had ended?
He laughs, he tried his hardest not to be like him, he really did. Now look at him, no more canon lives, destined to be a ghost for the rest of eternity. And he begins to wonder, when did he break that promise? Maybe it was an impossible ask to begin with. Maybe it was something he couldn’t have prevented. Tommy’s heart dropped. He glanced between the hybrid and the masked man. Attempting to open his mouth to question what Techno had meant, he found himself being stopped.

His throat tightened, he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t scream, what was going on? Dream’s frustrated tone overpowered him. He wanted it to end. He prayed and he hoped and he wished that whatever broken simulation he was experiencing would stop.
In the midst of the chaos, he thought he could hear someone else. A different person. A calm, reassuring voice. A voice that he had become familiar with recently. A voice he trusted.
For the first time in what seemed like hours, he finally spoke, his voice raspy and laced with confusion, “Sam?”

Tommy had experienced his fair share of losses during his time on the server, but right now he had never experienced anything like this. Dream had them cornered. It was checkmate. The thought of staying prideful long gone, tears spilling down his cheek as he stared at his best friend.
His best friend that was about to get slaughtered.
They had lost.
This was going to be the end.

Then the portal burst into life again as another person entered, then another. Then another. Friends and foes alike flooded out of the purple swirls.

Once again Tommy finds himself recalling parts of the past. However, this time he remembers the good times. Fond memories, joyful memories, peaceful memories. All of them fill his mind and Tommy realises that he doesn’t want this to end.

Engulfed in a sea of crimson he struggled to breathe. It seeped into his bones. It covered him. It suffocated him. Around him the past, the present and the future morphed together, creating one big cacophony of noise. Everything was too loud, nothing made sense.
