(non-fiction essay, meta analysis, not a fic)
Sumeru is a vast and complex nation with problems of ethnocentrism and ethnonationalism touched upon in the game but never explored. Sethos, the newest addition to the region's ensemble, should have been able to tie up all the loose ends left at the end of the Archon Quests.
Key words: should have been.
In this round-up of my notes and thoughts on a previous Sethos character study, I break down my thoughts and understanding on Sumeru's narrative, philosophical inspirations and influences, and why there are three Rtawahist scholar NPCs in the Sumeru Archon quest.

(non-fiction essay, meta-analysis, not a fic)
The Wanderer has an odd ability I've yet to see others explore. Which is odd as it has deep implications for his character regarding his hopes, dreams, and future.
In this research-dump-turned-essay, I will break down these parts into three segments: his ability, his philosophical leanings, and my synthesis: hope or nostalgia

Or, so he thought.

Summary
Words were said that she could barely remember in the haze that was the stinging of the scales and that constant tingly feeling of loss of blood circulation crawling up her arm. Most of them said truthfully, but in that same ugly, bubbling feeling she always associated with the voices. She had said something that made Tighnari’s ears press flat on his head, made his hands raise in defense, made him leave before she passed out.
One thing was certain.
She probably had to apologize.

Summary
Since his inception, there were certain truths that the Wanderer knew about his form:
- First was that he was nigh indestructible. His body, meant to house the divine, was crafted by the divine, with the divine, and for the divine.
- This first led up to the second, which was that he was resistant to all forms of erosion: mental, physical, and philosophical.
- This led up to the third, one of his primary functions as a god’s replacement: he was to commit to whatever statement he gave, to be the immovable object against unstoppable force. He never forgot, he never aged, and he was set in his ways until proven wrong.

Growth, as he’s always told Collei, was something that took time. She used to hate when he told her that, he could tell, but she could never deny the wisdom in the saying.
That being said, one can only manage to go through a certain number of spectacular historical events before they tire out of keeping up-to-date, something Tighnari didn’t really do well himself, outside of the ever-growing compendium of discoveries being logged every other month in Amurta’s academic journals.
When was the last time he’d seen his parents?

"If I am right,” which he knew he was, “I assume you would not like that Tighnari would see to them himself. But neither of us hold any authority over him. I have tried many times."

He prided himself, as a scholar to be very well-read and open to differences.
The last thing Cyno was confident about, though, was his ability to read a room.

Summary
He had time.
She’d come back home in due time.
All he had to do now was lay in wait, see things for himself. Go on a journey, maybe, like she’d suggested. Usually he wouldn’t bother, and she’d be none the wiser, but now he had a Paimon who would drag him into all sorts of stupid stuff.
So no, he was not inclined at all to feel pity for another socialite asking for a favor.

“Good morning to you too, General Watchleader,” Cyno greeted, dry as the desert.
Tighnari rolled his eyes. “The sun is barely up, you little— Never mind, there’s no use arguing semantics with you. You’ll just give me a headache. Get out if you’re not going to let me sleep.”

Summary
Envy was a weakness. Indulging in it every now and then was human, but giving into its cloying allure was the last thing Ayato wanted.
