Summary
Kirk and Spock -centric series set in a lightly AU universe. When the series opens, Kirk is a troubled but sometimes brilliant, recently demoted, Lieutenant in a Starfleet at war with earth's colonies. Spock is a sheltered young Vulcan scarred by a difficult childhood who rebels the only way he knows how, through his technical knowledge.
The books follow the two of them as they deal together with the aftermath of the sacrifices they have to make to get what they each want: Kirk a real command and Spock a career in Starfleet. All while remaining devoted to each other.
With cameo appearances from the rest of our beloved cast.

Prompt from spookybfi: Ok, so Kirk basically spent, like, the entire series wooing Spock, to no avail because Spock broke his heart and left for Gol. Now that Spock is back, Kirk has given up on him because he doesn't know where he stands any more, and he doesn't want to get hurt again. That's ok though, because after his ZOMGFEELINGSAREOK revelation in sickbay, Spock is more than willing to woo Kirk this time :D The wooing could happen on Valentine's day because... it's Valentine's day!
