    Summary

It’s a rough start to his first fall semester in university.

To join his fraternity of choice, Mydeimos has been tasked with sucking off every single brother on the dorm floor. If the reputational loss of failing to complete a hazing ritual wasn’t bad enough, Mydei is also inexperienced when it comes to sex. And that doesn’t even account for the biggest issue at hand: Unfortunately, one of the frat guys on the dorm floor happens to be Phainon. His older cousin Phainon.

Or maybe, that isn’t so unfortunate at all?

Mydei already knows Phainon, much better than he knows any of those strangers. Who better to teach him how to give good head than somebody he trusts, right? Family first, after all.

    Summary

“What do I do now?” He glanced nervously down at the cat occupying the entirety of Snowy’s stomach. “Is he a hostage? Am I a hostage?”

Mydei takes pride in running a peaceful and sterile cat café. He handles pretentious trends and demanding customers with professionalism, but he isn't prepared for a white-haired stranger in a neon hoodie to be violently dragged through his front door by a runaway pet. Mydei is fully prepared to ban the both of them for life. That is, until his crankiest cat decides the giant dog makes a perfect cushion.

    Summary

Mydeimos froze, his golden eyes snapping toward Phainon with a sudden, sharp betrayal. “A pirate?” he hissed. “You– You’re supposed to be a helmsman!”
“What?” Phainon shouted back, driving his boot forward to force the Dockmaster away. He wiped a spray of harbor water from his eyes, glaring. “I am a helmsman! I’m just multifaceted!”

Phainon’s prison cell is small, damp, and thoroughly devoid of good company—until a very wealthy young noble in a deep red cloak steps into the dingy hallway, offering a trade. Freedom, a gold signet ring, and a stolen naval vessel called the Gorgon’s Breath, his for the taking. The only catch? Phainon has to get Mydeimos out of the city tonight.

Escaping the gallows is the easy part. Surviving a sea voyage with an imperious young lord who has no sea legs and didn’t realize he was hiring a pirate at all? Well, that might actually kill him.

    Summary

Phainon is so close to graduating he can practically taste it.

The only problem is that one of his required courses comes with an essay component, and he’s been assigned to research Castrum Kremnos, a once-prosperous kingdom in ancient Amphoreus that was nearly entirely lost to time. It’s just his luck that there are no useful sources online, and all he manages to find in person is a suspicious book containing an equally suspicious ritual to summon the god of Kremnos, the Titan of Strife, Nikador.

With nothing else to lose, and all the offerings on hand, Phainon performs the ritual. He’s bewildered when Nikador himself appears, bound to Phainon and insistent on occupying the sole bedroom, unable to leave until Phainon’s essay is complete.

    Summary

The outcomes of Mydei and Phainon’s daily competitions have gotten them nowhere in terms of declaring a decisive winner. That is why Stelle suggests the two women go a different route: compete in a drinking contest, where the winner will be able to command the loser as they please for an entire day.

Mydei, raised among Kremnoan warriors and highly confident in her ability to drink anyone under the table, accepts without hesitation. Phainon accepts for an entirely different reason. Unfortunately for both of them, Phainon’s idea of a day spent commanding Mydei has very little to do with victory, intending to make her feelings unmistakably clear to the princess.

Mydei, naturally, has no idea what Phainon is doing.

    Summary

    “You’re thinking loudly.”
“Maybe your magic skills are catching up. I wasn’t aware that the Deliverer could hear thoughts.”
    “Yours are hardly subtle.”

Phainon is mostly content with his life at the Grove School of Fine Magical Arts: he has earned excellent grades, holds a promising scholarship, and he wields perhaps a little too much magical power for his own good. His only drawback? That would be his academic rivalry with the infuriatingly talented and snooty Crown Prince in his year. But for the most part, everything fine.

Then Professor Anaxa pairs them together for a Magical Devices assignment. Unfortunately, the artifact refuses to respond to either of them.

    Summary

The message was short. All it read was: “Good luck, Deliverer.”
He stared at the words, brow furrowing.
    “Deliverer?”

Phainon wakes up in a medical bay with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Stuck in space, all he has is two dead crewmates and the onboard computer telling him he is Amphoreus’ last hope of survival, on a mission to find a way to stop the Black Tide. Whatever that means.

    Summary

Mydei squirmed slightly, the desk’s edge digging into his hips as Phainon’s words hung heavy in the air. He swallowed hard, knowing he’d been reckless.
“I thought you were going to lose,” he admitted quietly. “I didn’t think they would hear me.”
Phainon’s hand pressed down harder, a silent warning. “You should have known better, Mydeimos. Or do you want them to know what you let me do to you, when we’re alone like this?”

A few months into exploring a new side of their intimacy, Mydei has become far too confident in his ability to get under Phainon’s skin. One night out with friends, he decides to test just how far that confidence will carry him, mouthing off and goading Phainon at every opportunity. His one mistake is making a promise: if Phainon’s team wins at pool, Mydei will surrender to his whims completely.

Unfortunately for Mydei, Phainon’s team does indeed win. And Phainon is very good at keeping his promises.

    Summary

    Phainon blinked.

“Uh… a kitty?” he said, kneeling down in the grass.

    And the beast spoke.

“I am not a cat!” the cat said sharply, sitting up just enough to glare at him.

    Phainon stared.

“A… talking cat?” he said, incredulously. He leaned a little closer, now able to see the injury more clearly. Blood coated one of the creature’s legs.

“I said I am not a cat,” the creature repeated, its fur bristling irritably.

“You’re adorable,” Phainon remarked, leaning a little closer. “Are you injured?”

After being taken from the humble life he knew and thrust into the imperial palace as a forgotten prince, Phainon Khaslana expects only loneliness, etiquette lessons, and a long list of rules he barely understands. What he does not expect is a foul-tempered talking beast hiding in the palace gardens—one that insists it is definitely not a cat.

    Summary

The mystery comes to its conclusion before the Verax Leo in Marmoreal Market. Phainon is not, unlike some of his colleagues, in the habit of damaging the city’s statuary. But if striking with Dawnmaker will satisfy his curiosity, he is willing to risk Aglaea’s displeasure.
“My lord,” Verax Leo finally grumbles. “It concerns Kremnoan royalty.”
Phainon’s expression sharpens. “...Has something happened to Mydeimos?”
“No, Lord Phainon. Nothing like that,” The lion hesitates. “It’s... the princess.”

Phainon comes to learn that Okhema is obsessed with a drag queen named "Princess of Castrum Kremnos," an extravagantly dressed performer who spends her weekends reducing audiences to laughter with a parody of the real Crown Prince. The crowd thinks it is the ultimate comedy act, happily joking that the princess and prince have never been seen in the same room.

There is no such parody. Okhema thinks it sees a brilliant satire. Phainon thinks a mysterious performer has stolen the privilege of making fun of his rival. And Mydei is just trying to make sure no one notices that the prince and the princess share the exact same biceps.

    Summary

Phainon Khaslana, as in-house counsel at Chrysos Corp, was the kind of lawyer people assumed was always two steps ahead of the room. Reliable to a fault, friendly to everyone, and even known as the 'Deliverer' for his stellar performance. The only problem he had, if anyone tried to name it, was the existence of the ever-insufferable Mydeimos, his rival.

Mydei was a rising star at Castrum Kremnos LLC. Notoriously efficient, and already on partner track faster than anyone else in his cohort. He and Phainon were, professionally, perfectly matched adversaries: opposing counsel who kept ending up on the same cases, tightening every encounter between competition and fixation.

What no one saw was that their rivalry did not end when the hearings did. In public, they were rivals who never lost focus. In private, they were something neither of them wanted to name, and yet, something neither of them seemed interested in stopping.

When Chrysos Corp and Castrum Kremnos collided in court once again, it became very clear: The case was not the only thing escalating.

    Summary

Only the lower half of Mydei's face was visible, his lips set in something dangerously close to a smirk, but not quite. There was tension there. Something deliberate or maybe not, which somehow made it worse. Hotter. Better.
    Phainon swallowed. His eyes dropped.
Mydei's wrists were bound in leather. It was dark and clean, pulled snug enough to secure him. It didn’t look tight enough to hurt. Just enough to hold. To keep.
Phainon’s grip on the phone shifted slightly, thumb pressing harder against the side without him noticing. “…What the hell,” he breathed. That was his belt. The one he left behind while packing for work. It was on Mydei’s wrists, it didn’t look like a joke. That was the problem.

Phainon receives a picture of Mydei tied up with his own belt. It’s meant to be a joke, but it lingers a little too long, digs a little too deep, and sparks something in both of them: curiosity in Phainon, something submissive in Mydei, and the quiet question of how far they’re willing to take it in both of them. (AKA: Ropebundeimos getting put in his place, the fic.)

    Summary

Mydei kicked her sandals off by the door and shifted the supplies in her hands.

“My apartment’s water isn’t working. I’m gonna use your bathroom to get this done,” she said, already moving towards the bathroom like it was settled.

“Ah. Of course,” Phainon said, a little too quickly.

She never had any issue with Mydei being over. If anything, she liked how natural it felt, how Mydei kept ending up in her space more and more lately. Sometimes Phainon caught herself thinking it would make sense if she just gave Mydei a key. Usually she told herself to stop being embarrassing right after.

She hovered for a second, then tilted her head.

“Since you’re here though, I feel like the least you could do in exchange is let me help you dye it.”

Or: Phainon dyes Mydei’s hair, and then her bush. It leads to them doing other things (each other).

    Summary

For a little while, things were quiet again. Phainon was just getting back into the data sets.
    And then Mydei spoke.
    “Hey.”
    Phainon hummed absently, still typing.
“Want me to give you a facial?”
Phainon’s hands froze on the keyboard. Slowly, very slowly, he turned his head.
    “What.”

Phainon’s midterms are slowly killing him. Sleep is scarce, his workload is worse, and his only constant is Mydei, who has a talent for offering the most suspicious things at the worst possible time.

As it turns out, Mydei just meant skincare. Phainon, having harbored feelings for Mydei for months now, is immensely disappointed about that.

But he isn’t disappointed for long.

    Summary

Okhemopolis’s golden boy Deliverer has limits. Phainon just… hasn’t really bothered to find them yet, but apparently alcohol is a good place to start. What begins as a mildly irresponsible experiment turns into a problem, because for the first time since he started obsessively tracking it, Phainon can’t hear Mydei’s heartbeat across the city. Which would be fine. Totally fine. If he weren’t absolutely, catastrophically attached to it.

So he does the reasonable thing: calls the man and asks him to come over. Just until the alcohol wears off. Just so Phainon can hear him again. Losing one sense, though, means Phainon ends up noticing a lot of other things he's been very good at ignoring until now.

Or: Superman/Phainon gets drunk, loses his heartbeat-tracking superhearing, panics, and accidentally discovers that having Batman/Mydei right next to him might be significantly worse for his self-control.
