Jane traced the crisscross of lines scratched into the walls with one skinny finger. People have been here before her, she knew that from whispered stories when the lights dimmed; from seeing people leave and never come back, with her own two eyes. Time was a limited resource she has no power over. She had no power of her own here, period.
Despite this, she felt something inside. A vicious feeling with teeth sunken into her very bones that urged her to run and howled when the corridors were dark. Nearly everyone there stomped on it to extinguish the embers. Maddison breathed life back into the kindling.
She was still alive, right?

This is less of a roadblock than one might expect. Danny thinks he might even be able to help the guy, if he can form enough of a relationship to bring up sensitive topics like "you have the ghostly equivalent of lead poisoning or maybe rabies, we aren't quite sure".

Especially if, also, you're a rat, and also all your children are mutants, and you live in the sewer, and you have no idea what you're doing. When Hamato Yoshi is presented with the chance to return to the surface with his sons and give them a 'normal' life as humans, he takes it.
He didn't think that they would forget about that whole turtle thing. But it seems kind of too late to tell them now. Surely they won't find out any other way, right?...
