Summary
“Lancelot,” Merlin whispered, taking care not to disturb any of the other knights, all of whom were sleeping around the slowly dying fire. “Are you awake?”
“Yes,” Lancelot whispered back, shuffling around on his bedroll to turn and face Merlin. His eyes shone like beacons in the darkness of the forest.
Merlin cleared his throat. “Are you, um, warm enough?”
Lancelot smiled. “Are you?”
“Me? I’m fine. Toasty, even,” Merlin protested.
“You’re shivering,” Lancelot pointed out.
“Maybe a bit.” Merlin smiled sheepishly. It was a mild enough night, but he didn’t have the benefit of the layers the knights wore: the thick wool gambesons or the heavy velvet cloaks.
He picked at the frayed edge of the scratchy linen blanket he had packed, hardly warm enough to protect him from the chill.“Would you— uh, that is, I was wondering—”
“Merlin,” Lancelot interrupted, not unkindly.
“Could I, maybe—”
“If you’re asking me whether we can share warmth, the answer is yes, Merlin.”

Summary
"MERLIN!" Arthur shouted on his way to the door before opening it with a bang.
As he caught sight of another figure, a glimpse of a naked shoulder, Arthur stopped in his tracks: he did not think Merlin might have been busy entertaining company. He always reprimanded Merlin for not knocking, yet here he was, barging into a couple's room.
Arthur distinctly remembered that Lancelot stayed with Merlin all those years back. He just didn't think they were this close, hadn't considered the logistics of living together in such a small room. He should have known: it had only one bed. Forgive him for thinking, after being at Merlin's home village, that Lancelot slept on the floor.
Or, in the aftermath of reclaiming the Citadel from Morgana's forces, various knights find their way to Merlin's room to find him asleep in Lancelot's arms.

Summary
The sorcerer's face turned ashen at the sight of a hickey, and the fire extinguished just as quickly as it began.
"You are marked by Emrys," his voice quivered under the rustle of a careful retreating step. "I seek no quarry with Him. I must… away."
Then he turned and ran. Lancelot stared, confused, at the fleeing figure.

Summary
So maybe they were closer than the average close friends- tied together in a secret guarded with their lives- but that was all the speculations were: convenient coverups.
They were close, trusted each other with their lives, not deterred by the light-hearted jesting their implied relationship caused, and secure in where they stood with each other even with the kissy noises sent their way when they stumbled into the armoury dishevelled from sprinting all the way from the forest back to the castle in time for Lancelot’s patrol shift.
Which was of course when, a couple of weeks later, everything they considered normal got thrown around again; because it wouldn’t be Lancelot and Merlin’s lives, wouldn’t be Camelot, if anything ever worked out in a way that didn’t make them question everything they had grown familiar with.
Or: Merlin pretends to give Lancelot a blow job to get away with their magic-mission-sneaking. It has an unintended side-effect: Lancelot can’t stop thinking about it. Merlin fixes it; Gwaine won't let them live it down anyway.

Fingers trailing over his temple, down the bridge of his nose, along the line of his cheekbone. Tracing every one of Merlin’s perfect features. Given the chance, Lancelot would spend every waking hour gazing at the exquisite beauty of his beloved. He knew every line of his face, every shape and shadow.
He followed his fingers with his lips, kissing and murmuring sweet nothings. A soft smile spread over Merlin’s face, his bright eyes sparkling as Lancelot looked up at him, the blue muted by the cool moonlight so they looked deep and grey. When Lancelot gets back to his chambers after night patrol, he finds Merlin asleep on his bed, the moonlight bathing him in beauty. A soft tender Mercelot smut fic, for Mini Mercelot Week, day 1 - Beauty.

Summary
The grand and war-torn city of Minas Tirith is not a very suitable place for a hobbit, and while recovering here after the destruction of the Ring, Frodo feels increasingly hopeless and disconnected. However, through a few honest moments shared with friends and acquaintances, he just might be able to find a great deal of compassion, a little romance, and maybe even a good night’s sleep during his stay here.

"I heard the monster was some kind of frog that cries a lot. Someone told me he'd fed it."
"Fed it?"
"Yes, he said the Ringbearer brought it back with him, and now it's staying in a guest house and it eats raw meat, and it stays in the dark all the time and screams if you open a window to let in the sunlight, and if you bring it water to splash in it'll tell you a riddle. I am certain he invented all of it. He thinks he's quite special now he's an errand boy in the palace. But, as we were telling absurd tales..."
Gollum stepped out into the street behind them. "There was no monster," he said shrilly, "no! No, no- don't talk about things you know nothing about- it is silly! Foolish!"
"I'm sorry?" one of the teens said, turning to blink at him, and another said: "Who are you?"
Gollum had no answer. How could he answer? What would he say? He squirmed, and said gollum in his throat, and turned on his heel to scurry away.

Summary
'Surely if ever there was a time to tell Gimli it was then, flush with an impossible victory.
Except he had said nothing, for there was ever more to do and never time, never time to pull Gimli aside and taste the mouth hidden beneath the fall of his moustache, to fit his slim, Eleven hands into ones coarse with callouses from the handle of an axe, to tell Gimli that every song Legolas sang, every smile and laugh and every step forward he had taken since their path darkened was bolstered only by Gimli at his side, to speak to him of Elvish courting rituals and run his fingers through Gimli’s russet hair and ask if he would allow Legolas to twist an Elvish braid in it, something to mark to all the world, even if only his Elven eyes would understand, that Gimli was tied to him.
To ask Gimli to teach him all the impossible ways their bodies might fit together.'
The night before the Battle of the Black Gate, and several days after.

Legolas knew Gimli’s body as well as his own, and he knew when it was subtly different. An immortal Elf never changes, and the workings of time upon his lover were a marvel to him. It fascinated him. It enchanted him. How could one person be made of such endless, enthralling variety?
Now, he only had to convince Gimli of such.
(Easier to convince the moon.)

Summary
Life after war has much more politics than Gimli thought, and much less Legolas than he would like, but the latter he knows (or believes) he has to get used to. Or: Legolas leaps, occasionally stumbling, into a new age, while Gimli can't see the wood for the (green)leaf.
"How do your people court then?"
The question was not as abrupt as it would seem, firstly because the news that his brother was courting had clearly left Legolas in deep thought for a number of days, secondly because Legolas had long ago confessed his curiosity about the lives and customs of Gimli's kin, and thirdly because Legolas' grace was well-known to be in his light feet and not his manners.
However, Gimli saw no reason to let him have his own way entirely. "And by my people do you mean the Longbeards, or the Dwarves of Erebor, or the wandering mender that I now seem to be?"
"I meant," Legolas said, "wandering jesters."
