Summary
Regulus knows all too well that living with flatmates comes with a particularly difficult set of challenges. The biggest of which is the lack of privacy. When Regulus finally gets the flat to himself, without his older brother or his flatmate James there, Regulus likes to unwind with a hot shower and a quick wank with the showerhead. It's a small luxury that he relishes, since the death of his vibrator a few months back. However, things take an abrupt turn when he's caught in the act by none other than his flatmate James Potter.
"How much did you see?"
James swallows again, looking as though he mildly regrets giving Regulus his towel, as now he has nothing to cover his painfully obvious erection tenting his joggers. James folds his hands together, attempting to conceal his hard dick politely with little success due to its size.
"More than I probably should have," James admits honestly, eyes still trained on the ceiling. His hand instinctively raises to rub the back of his neck before returning down to shield his groin.

James glances up at Regulus. He’s standing by James’ bedroom door with his keys and phone dangling from his grip. His cheeks are brushed pink, his curls amiss and the jut of his lip has been ruthlessly bruised. He looks perfectly wrecked by the hands of James Potter.
“Never,” James says back, biting down a smile.
Regulus stares at him, eyes narrowed and gleaming, before he turns and leaves through James’ bedroom door.
Not even a day later, James has Regulus cornered against his kitchen counter.

Finding a professor twenty years older than you ridiculously attractive was funny.
Until he started finding him not only attractive but intelligent, shrewd, technically skilled, analytical, articulate, brilliant. And fucking attractive.
There was no denying or escaping, and he wouldn't do either if he could, since he deliberately nurtured this feeling without a trace of guilt.
And the worst part was that James firmly believed his feelings were reciprocated.

Regulus Black knows nothing about football, but suddenly becomes very interested in a particular footballer who's opening dm is a 200 word paragraph of nonsensical rambling and about ten different adjectives to describe Regulus' looks.
James talks way too much for most people, and Regulus never talks enough. Together they just work. Until months of online flirting (and a little bit of phone sex) turns into intense pining and neither of them knowing how to make the next step and just get on a damn plane to see each other.

James opens his eyes, and spots Regulus across the floor. He freezes too, and suddenly the tension is back, crackling through the room like a live wire waiting to be dropped in a pool of water.
They wind through the crowd and, without an audible word, Regulus’ hands find themselves wound around James’ shoulders, as the fireman catches his waist and pulls him closer.
“You look delicious.” James says into his ear, curving his head down to whisper against Regulus’ neck. “Ready to let me take a bite?”
___Or. Regulus gets stuck in an elevator with his brother. The pair of firefighters that rescue them are REALLY hot, so obviously they ask them both on a double date. Sirius and Remus start dating immediately. But Regulus and James have to make things more difficult for themselves and everyone else by rage baiting each other into making the first move.

“Hey, do you top?” James asks out of nowhere one night.
They are sprawled across the couch in Regulus’s flat, watching some action movie neither of them is that interested in. As per usual, Regulus is almost fully lying on top of James, his head on James’s chest; probably his favourite place to lay his head. His ear pressed against the very real heartbeat of this man he adores.
“What?” Regulus asks, startled.
“Top? I mean do you fuck people, men, do you fuck—I mean hopefully not recently—Jesus fuck, what I mean to say is, have you topped before, and do you like it?” James finally asks.
Regulus raises on his hands, on either side of James’s torso, and looks at James. James meets his stare, unflinching under Regulus’s scrutiny. It’s probably lost its effect by now with how smitten Regulus is with his boyfriend. Now, that he thinks about it, it’s weird how they’ve never talked about this before.
“Yes,” he pulls himself off James, moving to sit beside him. “I have topped before and yes, I do like it."

Regulus has always known the universe to have a sick sense of humour but he didn’t know it was this cruel. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. To Regulus’s shock and abject horror, James Potter is Jay, there’s no doubt about it.

When they were kids, Sirius always told him how his biggest dream was to ride a motorbike and all the places he could go to, as well as how amazing it would be to feel the air in his face and in his hair.
So why doesn’t Sirius allow him to go and see it with his own eyes?
