All Pidge needed was a flower. That was it. Just one little flower with one little complex and hard-to-synthesize organic catalyst growing in its stamens. It couldn't be that hard to find, could it? Even if it's landed her here, stranded deep behind Galra lines, bushwhacking through an alien jungle with the second most socially awkward member of Team Voltron for company. Second only to herself, of course.
She's looking for a flower. Not staggering wonder and tragedy, the greatest intellectual challenge she's ever faced, or things she has in common with Keith Kogane. But if she can survive this, she might just find all of them.

She hadn’t noticed the ache that lingered after a Healing Word, the exhaustion that pulled on her bones and sinew every time she dragged herself out of bed. She’d explained away the headaches, the nosebleeds, the bruises, the lack of appetite. In her life, each one of those symptoms could be ascribed to any number of things.

Summary
Captain Rex, Commander Ahsoka Tano, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi investigate Separatist activity on Vhal, a desolate fog-shrouded moon with an ancient Sith temple. When they approach, the temple comes alive and forcibly pulls them inside, sealing them within its depths. Ahsoka suffers serious injuries early on, including a head wound and badly sprained ankle, forcing Obi-Wan and Rex to carry her as they navigate the increasingly dangerous environment. The temple itself is malevolent, with shifting corridors, disturbing imagery, and chambers filled with evidence of ancient dark rituals.
As they venture deeper following the Separatists' trail, they encounter horrifying dangers including undead guardians, organic webs, and massive corrupted creatures. The trio must fight for survival while dealing with Ahsoka's mounting injuries, the temple's attempts to trap and kill them, and the overwhelming Dark Side presence that threatens to corrupt them. Their mission becomes less about stopping the Separatists and more about simply escaping alive with their minds and souls intact.

Now Damian is bugging him about cows and family and Jason and Dick won't stop kidnapping him and Bruce is acting like court orders don't matter, like he doesn't have a huge bat-shaped secret to protect from literally the whole freaking world.
Why is Tim the only functioning adult in this situation?
This was supposed to be coated in angst, but it fell in the fluff bucket instead. (So, update, some people are saying this may not be as fluffy as I am advertising it. I plead the 5th.)

Riz falls to his knees and shakes his head, looking down at the grass.
He had the same thought, months ago. He begged and pleaded with his dad, with gods, with anyone who would listen, to let him go back. He wasn’t done on the Material Plane. He had more life to live.
His dad said he could be made a field angel. That was the best he would get and Riz took the offer. It meant that he could observe the living, at the very least, and start to interact with the world once he got more stable.

The throbbing pain shoots from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet is the first sign of life. A raspy gasp escapes her bloody mouth before her broken sobs of pain begin. There is a blinding light above her, the sun. The freezing cold and the lack of, well anything is the clear sign that she’s still stuck at the bottom of the trench.
Her head is throbbing even worse, the ground beneath her is solid ice making her fall worse. There is something in her hair, most definitely blood or snow. She heaves for air, lungs once again moving with her racing heart pumping blood.

Or, during the Bad Kids senior year spring break assigned by Arthur travel to the Mountains of Chaos, Adaine is brutally attacked and with a twist of horrible luck is sepreated from the others deeper in the ice. Alone, heavily injured, low on everything Adaine tries to survive.

Peni gave up on basically anything. She remained OSCORP’s attack dog, but she didn’t do anything she wasn’t explicitly ordered to do. She never went outside. She stopped working on getting back to the others, even though she craved them now more than anything. She couldn’t bring herself to care.
Then, some guy in blue and red showed up— different than Peter and Miles’ spider outfits with blue and red. There was portal looking thing behind him.
“I’m Miguel O’Hara. Would you like to join my inter-dimensional Spider Team? You were recommended by a couple Spiders you knew beforehand— said to say Peter B. and Gwen?”
“Yes,” Peni didn’t need to hear another word. “I’m in.”

“When the sky begins to bleed, so ends the night,” Adaine whispers. “Let the stars find new homes outside of the sky and walk once more along the broken earth.”
“Darling, are you prophesying the end of the Court of Stars right now?” Aelwyn asks. She holds Adaine's hand very gently. Adaine is in no state to tell her if it hurts when Aelwyn squeezes it. Adaine is in no state to tell her if anything hurts.

Pidge’s father and brother are out there somewhere while her mother is back on earth, waiting for them all to come home. She can’t just not do something about it.
She has overworked herself all week, not even bothering with sleep in favor of pouring over data late into the night, but she’s also been carrying on as if nothing was wrong. In other words, her ‘i’m okay’ facade is flimsy and raring to break at any moment.
So when she faces a hitch in an attempt to acquire possibly crucial intel that could put her family back together, she can’t steal her nerves quick enough before exhaustion-induced panic sets in. The only issue is that nothing seems to be working to calm her down this time.
