Summary
The words on his skin were his everything. After everything he'd seen, done and been through, they were a reminder that Bruce Wayne still existed. That somewhere there was a person who would love him despite the coldness in his chest and the scars that roped their way across his skin. A reminder that he wasn't alone - that he wasn't destined to live forever in the shadows, silent and isolated. That somewhere out there was the other half of his soul.
He just wasn't expecting the other half of his soul to be an alien.

So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

“What the hell is that, Batman.” Kal’s still not moving but he does look back now. “Because if I didn’t know any better I would say that was me.”
“We have intel from a deserter at LexCorp that Luthor had gotten ahold of some of your DNA.” Bruce doesn’t know how to explain this without it … without it being terrible. “Through a fight, through his own strange methods, through kryptonite, who knows. He tried to clone it, but failed-”
Kal’s jaw tightens “Bizzaro.”
“This is a combination of your genes and a human donor, with some of J’onn’s DNA to hold it together.”
Bruce can trace the Martian's contribution with the barest hint of the way the clone’s eye is shaped. Just an impression, a barest hint that would never be connected if Bruce hadn’t seen the files for himself.
Kal bites in a terrible sound that emits from somewhere in his chest, a pitched keen that makes the hair on Bruce’s neck stand straight up. “Where is he?”

Summary
Five years have passed since the attack of Osial.
Tsaritsa has had her most precious weapon stolen by a member of the Fatui. It’s Childe’s job to go hunt for it in Liyue and bring it back. He has other plans though, and only accepts the job to mend his broken friendship with Liyue’s Archon.
Through awkwardness and pain, the two somehow end up with a missing person on their hands, and trouble in Liyue’s black market ensues. What comes of it? Well... a lot of things. Let’s just say by the end of the story, Tsaritsa is not very pleased.

Hawks is 18 years old, he's the youngest pro-hero to run his own agency, he's got the Hero Commission behind him, he's moving up in the rankings and he's never been happier. He doesn't have any time to slow down for silly things like eating or sleep. Those things are a waste of time. He knows that.
Now if only he could get Best Jeanist to understand that too. For some reason the older pro-hero keeps insisting on poking his nose into Hawks' business, and it's getting downright annoying.
Aka, a story in which a few people asked a few more questions, and Hawks finds out that there's more to life than what the Hero Commission wants from him.
