A whirl of black smoke, a plume of blue flame, the acrid, pungent smell of sulphur. Every candle in the room flickered and sputtered out. There was a thick and terrible darkness suddenly present in the gloom, roiling and twisting upon itself; and from deep within it, came an awful, unrelenting, inescapable sensation of being watched.
The great demon Birhartura glowered out from the darkness at the pit of its summoning circle, bewildered, peevish, and still half-asleep.
What in all the hells did they want this time?
It had not been summoned for a very, very long time.
The demon Birhartura is summoned by some idiot mortal wizard. This would usually be very inconvenient - but this time, the terrified, broken-legged little peasant girl they have left as a sacrifice for it is also, somehow, one of the most powerful mages it has ever been in the presence of.
If only it could get her to believe that, and free them both.

In Tim’s defense, he hadn’t meant for it to happen. Who knew patrolling alone was such a bad idea? Him. That’s who. But he would vehemently argue his actions were 100% justified and necessary considering the extenuating circumstances. However, that was before his little solo jaunt around Gotham had landed him… well… stuck. With the rest of the bats not in Gotham, it wasn’t like there was anyone around to get him unstuck either.
And he was running out of oxygen, dammit.Thankfully, (or in Tim’s case, ‘concerningly’), there happened to be a Crime Lord on the case who would be absolutely
notdelighted to rescue a little birdie from his cage.(As the tags can tell you, this is not as cracky and cheery as it sounds.)

Details fell together rapidly- the black and white streaked hair, mostly stained with what Julian hoped was dirt, ripped clothes and some of what he had to admit was blood, the forearm tattoo of a halo... He drew a knife instinctively as the man raised his head and Julian found himself staring down into the pained, half-desperate eyes of Eclipse.
“I’m- I didn’t have any other option. Please.” A full body shudder seemed to pass through Eclipse as he reached out a hand. Blood was flowing freely from a gash above his eye, and the remnants of his shirt seemed to cover a dozen wounds more.
Julian dropped the knife to the floor, forgotten. Oh fuck.
Julian knows that when you get the chance to take out a villain of Eclipse's rank, you take it, honor be damned. So when Eclipse shows up at Julian's door looking more than mostly already dead, it isn't hard to know he should finish the job and call it a win. But Julian doesn't, and now neither of them really know what happens next

Summary
It probably wasn't a good idea to just up and leave Gotham, Jason can admit to that. But it was hard to resist the temptation of an isolated, private cabin out in the woods, firmly out from under the too-watchful eyes of way too many Bats. It's just a few days. Just a little break to give himself a bit of time to relax, maybe... explore some stuff. It could be fun. (At the least, it's definitely going to be educational.)

They didn’t know Hood was there until Nightwing had snuck through one of the windows and saw him having a tense conversation with the traffickers who ran operations there, and then one of them- the leader, probably- had taken a threatening step forward.
Hood had remedied that by shooting him in the face, and from there all hell had broken loose. Nightwing dropped down- enemy of my enemy, and also maybe Hood would kill less of them if a Bat was there (he did not) and assisted, but one of the traffickers, by the end, had managed to set up a bomb with non-insubstantial amounts of C4. So then the warehouse had been a smoking wreck. Hood had taken the brunt of it, slamming hard into a wall, mask letting out a sharp crack, and slumping, unconscious.
And- well, is Dick supposed to just leave him there?

Jason Todd came back wrong. No amount of blood ever satisfies him since he came out of the Pit, until an incident forces him to confront Tim Drake in the Titan's Tower sooner than he planned to. Someone shows up to protect Tim from him.
Or
Jason Todd is a vampire with neurological and psychological damage, and a good old dose of the Pit, who is dying of hunger and is gonna have to take two living blood bags to survive it. Those living blood bags might just be his brothers.

Summary
Tim always knew his stint as Robin had an expiration date. He is too weak and too slow, a poor replacement for Dick and Jason. At the time, he was the only one available, but this was only ever going to last until Bruce found someone better.
When Red Hood comes knocking, Tim thinks he will follow in Jason’s footsteps in more ways than one, although he guesses Bruce will not grieve him as much as all the time he wasted on Tim.
But then Red Hood strays from the expected script and says, “I won’t let another Robin die.”
Somehow, that leads to Tim being kidnapped. Or rather, to being taken hostage, since Red Hood does not take Tim with him but simply refuses to leave.

Tim hadn't been out on patrol since Red Hood showed up. He'd hardly stepped foot in the Batcave since then. So, fine. He didn't have to help out as Robin. Contrary to popular belief, he wasn't completely useless outside of the suit. He had plenty of other ways to help out with the Red Hood situation.
Primarily, he had a kick-ass resume and a strong work ethic.Or.
Tim gets sick of getting pushed to the side and decides to get a job working for Red Hood to gather information. His best plan? Probably not. But it definitely got results.
