Summary
Long after the world "ended", society began to pick up the pieces with what was left after a brutal nuclear war. Pockets of societies grew and became larger, but the wastelands separates them from an all out territory war. Within the authoritarian and matriarchal swath of land known as Black's Veil, or "The Black Veil", a Medic by the name of Raleigh discovers what it really means to live outside of the sheltered and oppressive confines of his previous home, the Domed city of Caduceus. While he's managed to stubbornly stick it out the last five years in this merciless place, he can't really consider it living. Little does he know that the past five years weren't spent in vain at all, as his deeds within the Veil have not gone unnoticed. He's caught the eye of a revolutionary leader and his men, and they aim to help him make a real change within the Veil. But first, they must prove him and the Medics innocent of treason, and free him from the man who's both saved him and made his life particularly difficult.
